My dealer today managed to scrape my front bumper today, quite a nasty scrape on my 10 months old car. They're going to repair their damage, but should I ask for compo and if so what is fair?! Thanks
-
Hi, Very quick question - when my Greenline runs out of windscreen wash, it just happens with no warning light or anything. Is this normal?! Thanks

Thanks guys! Two more quick q's if I may. 1, On a Fabia, should the radio always have an electrical feed regardless of the ignition (I think it should?) 2, With the mirror - if you point towards 'heated' would the mirror automatically heat, or would it only heat when the demister button is pressed? (I've read the manual and it's not clear!) Thanks!!

Hi, I've had my car since new, a 2004 Fabia vRS 152,000 miles and no major problems. Was toying with getting a new car, but decided to go for a new radio instead! Anyway, Halfords fitted it and since then I've had a few problems and was looking for some help. New Sony Stereo fitted Two weeks later, find the battery totally discharged and the AA have to come to the rescue and find my wing mirrors to be on all the time (even when no key in the ignition) I mention I recently had a new stereo, they look at the installation and slatie it i.e. loose wires not doing stuff j Resolution to the mirror issue was to switch to left/right movement when the keys not in and this seems to have worked (mirrors cool all the time) More recently I've found that with increasing frequency the power steering light has been coming on (I normally just power off, then power back on to resolve) Today I did my normal power on/power off and the clock reset its self, meaning that I think something else is draining the battery? Now does anyone have any idea what might be going on and if indeed Halfords could have caused this issue? The AA have confirmed the alternator/battery to be fine. Thanks loads, any help would be amazing! John

Stop/Start, how much difference does it really make?

Does anyone know if cruise control on a Greenline II i efficient when driving A roads/Motorways etc? I know cruise used to be innefficient full stop, but with it as standard on the Greenline, am unsure if this is still the case? -
Hi, For around 4 years not my aircon on my vRS has not been working. I got a dealership to diagnose (at £70) and they said it was the compressor. I bought a compressor on Ebay for £40 and had it fitted on Friday. WIth the gas recharge, fitting etc it came to £180. According to them it's working, but how can I check? I switch it on and I get cold air anyway, one thing I did notice was that the revs did not change when the aircon was switched on, before i am pretty sure they picked slightly - maybe this is a winter thing, or an efficient compressor? I was wondering what you guys would do to check that they have fixed? I have factored in that the replacement compressor might be dodgy. Thanks, John

Today's the day to buy a new car!

Thanks for all your help! Good, or bad deal, got a Greenline 1.2 12 reg, 8000 miles on the clock for 10.500. Not amazing, but not too bad either! -
Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone would help me out, with how I should negotiate? I have a SEAT Ibiza 2001 for trade in and any cash for this would be good, as I just want it off my hands! Am looking to get a 1.6 TDI SE 5 door and can see the target price on WhatCar says £11,531, but with the current VAT free offer, this comes in way below the Target Price. I guess I am just looking to see what % I could knock off the offered price, or should I aim for a straight £500, £200 or whatever? Any help gratefully received! Thanks

Immobiliser issue, or something else (engine coil)

Thanks for your help! Randomly, having left the key in for an hour, it now works!
