  1. Not sure how official these pictures are, but it's looking pretty good
  2. Same here! I'll buy 4x4 vRS in a heart beat. I agree though, it might tread on Audi's toes.
  3. Since the software update was noted on the forums here donkey's ago our FL Octy vRS has had 2 services. Each time I've asked the dealer to update the Bolero and both times they've said that there is no update available. It's going in again for its 30k service next week, is there something special I need to ask them to do? Our Bolero is definitely very slow side with large collection of MP3s so I'd like to get it updated if at all possible. thanks.
  4. As I suspected. I'll just have to drill a couple more holes in the front of the box so I can move the front bar backwards. Thanks.
  5. I can't see anything in the manual to say where the bars should be mounted. I've just put a long roof box on and the front thule bar result in the feet being forward of the split on the car rail which feels like a join between a plastic cover and a metal rail. Does this matter at all? It's just a regular Thule rubber foot pack that clamps around the rail. I just don't know if that part of the rail is suitable for clamping on to. I could slide the whole box backwards with the bars but then opening the boot becomes an right pain as someone needs to hold it to stop it hitting the back of the box. Thanks in advance.
  6. 500 miles, 2 weeks for me - stage 1 shark. I decided that there wasn't anything wrong with that car and so no point holding off. A few thousand miles later a connector (fuel delivery related?) under the rear bench melted and the car had to be taken to the dealer on a truck as it wouldn't start. No questions at all about the map and fixed quickly. I've now clocked up 25k and no problems other than wiping the grin off my face.
  7. I put CS5s on the front on my VRs estate about 3000 miles ago. So far so good. In all honesty I'm not sure if I can tell much difference between these and the CS3, but I thought they where pretty good anyway. Oh... and most place only have the Mercedes fittment version (which is what I fitted). After talking to the Conti technical department it turns out they are the same. The marking is just there so that the stupid Merc owners feel special and can work out which tyres they need.
  8. Did your proride carrier not come with T track fittings as well? If not you'll be able to get then as spares
  9. Hi All, Just looking around for new 225/40/18 Y XL tyres for the front on my vrs. To keep it similar to the rears I'll go for either sport contact 3 or the newer sport contact 5. Lots of the online searches just throw up a Mercedes (and sometimes and Audi) certified version of the tyre. Does anyone know if it is actually the same tyre or if I really need the more generic, non manufacturer certified version? Thanks.
  10. Mine is now over £500 (I'm 33, car is parked on driveway). It has got a shark remap though, so I didn't think it would be cheap!
  11. I agree, even the Mrs has noticed that it washes the lights too much. Is it always every 5th wash, or is there also a time since the last wash involved? Is the counter always set to 0 when you start the car?
  12. I just filled up my washer bottle and it gobbled up a whole 5 litre container. I looked there and just saw load of different languages not saying very much. Must go and take another look, as I was wondering what the mix ratio should be, especially as I'm driving down to the alps in Jan and will probably need to cope with even lower temperatures.
  13. Part replaced by skoda and it's back on the road. They tell me that they don't think anything else was wrong other than just this part which was obviously faulty. Sadly they didn't have the Bolero update to do at the same time. never mind, it needs a service in 2 or 3 thousand miles anyway.
