I've had my Rapid SE since late March and all in all its a good car... but I wish flaming SUK would add the centre armrest as an accessory... SEAT do with the Toledo, at £161 I'd buy one...BUT its only available in GREY ( 6JA061100 ) and the Skoda interior is in Charcoal... FFS come on SUK it's not that hard.... another option I looked at was RATI Armster....but they don't make one for the RAPID...and the others like the Roomster & Fabia options don't fit either Very frustrated

Can't argue with the "Signs" .... Try and find one like me a Octavia T81 have..se spec + goodies... Well worth it ... Good luck

I've done 500 miles in mine so far...and I really like it! It's comfy, reasonably quick and very frugal... 55mpg overall so far ....comments aside, the "hard plastics" issue was well redressed by OctaviaT81 " the bits you touch are fine" which I would agree with ... I've had some positive reactions for colleagues at work, who thought it was a well built spacious car....which it is! And good VFM But would I still buy a "new" ordered car with all the extras I got thrown in ..... NO ...... Because it would have been around £21K !! And that puts it in the range of a lot of good metal! So SUK really need to re-think the price bands...even with the Octy 3 higher pricing..

I've got one! ... All spec'd up ex demo "SE" 1.6 TDi model with Sat Nav, climate, DAB etc... It's a good car... Despite the "hard plastics". .. I paid £13500 with 4k on the clock... Returning 55mpg as well 17" alloys help the visual impact .... Now the Octy 3 has landed .... At a premium... The Rapid makes sense

Not sure what you mean by dimming panel lights though? Well there used to be a roller switch next to the headlight leveller on my Octy for dimming the instrument lights ... Seems not to be mentioned at all in the Rapid brochure.... Maybe not then..

Yeh thats what I thought, but if you look at the original launch brochure, it does state that thats what you get, fogs, cruise etc etc....... as I said it's not a problem, just an understanding of whats what..... and certaily a bargaining point!! by the way if anyones interested .... this rear bumper protector is very handy!! Bought an ex demonstrator model launch 1.6TDI SE recently ... from a local dealer with the tantilising statement " full of extras at no extra cost" which inlcuded: Amundsen+ SAT NAV with DAB & Bluetooth Sport seats Heated seats Climate control Tinted glass Rear Parking sensors 17" camelot alloys Mud flaps which is great! BUT! although its registered as an SE you DONT get! Front fog lights cruise control dimming panel lights front arm rest Rear Electric Windows which is listed in the brochure as "SE" equipment... I know the stuff they have added is expensive, but remember if you're tempted to buy one of the launch demonstrators ...whats missing and use this to get a better deal!.... I did an got another £1200 off the asking price...which is even better!

Hi all....Live in East Sussex, on my 3rd Skoda...just bought a lovely 2006 TDi Octy hatch...sold to me as a Ambiantie....but it's got climate, cruise, 16" Alloys, sunroof, ASR +++++ far to much kit for any ambi !!...anyway I ain't complaining!! previous Octys: 2001 ambi estate....sold it with 145000 on the clock..still going strong! 2004 elegance estate 130 6 speed...just sold that with 130000 on the clock.. I really can't find better cars for the money....before I bought this new one I thought I'd try a BMW & and AUDI :thumbdwn:...well you can keep them!...give me an Octy anytime!
