  1. LOL yeah it is messy looking did the other side far neater but just plastered it on here, just hope it holds the water back like the other side has, fingers crossed
  2. Hi made this short video after fixing another leaking rear door seal on a fabia, Don't know if it will be of any use but it will show you how simple the door handle is to remove when you know how
  3. Here are some photos of the nearside rear passengers foot well there was a lot of rain last night and as you can see from the first picture the door seals are dry, as for the two pipes in the other photos I have no idea what they are ? but if the small black one is the rear washer feed, I cant find where its going because its going in to the plastic sill, and I cant get it off to see, so I have no idea how this foot well is still getting wet
  4. mmmmm Its definitely not getting past the door seals, ill take a photo tomorrow and post it on here to show the pipes I'm seeing in the rear foot well, Oh and sorry but just to be sure nearside is driver side yeah
  5. Yeah only the offside door leaked, but sealed both rears to be sure, as for yours filling up, check the drain holes underneath the door are not blocked, and as mine are fixed hell knows why its still getting damp ?
  6. Hello I had the rear doors sealed on my car 3 months ago so have been keeping a close eye on them, however today I have noticed the rear offside passenger foot well is becoming damp, and its not the door seals ? I did read on her somewhere before that rear wash wipe tubbing has connector on it about the rear foot well, I lifted the carpet and there is a little black pipe coming from under the seat and running in to the hard plastic sill but I'm not sure how to remove this sill next to the door seals or does anyone no of any other causes of a leak to the rear foot well other than faulty door seals thanks Max
  7. You where spot on rum4mo with the battery causing the power steering light to come on, battery give up at weekend and no prower steering wanning from new battery fitted
  8. Yes would have to agree that three of the problems could be the drivers door switch, and now you mention the battery I noticed that the inspection hole at the top is not green but black, according to the hand book this states the battery dyeing, you mention getting the car scanned is this expensive and is it like a diagnostic.
  9. Are fabias an electrical nightmare. only bought it 2 months ago for the wife, everthing worked fine when I bought it, but now my power steering light is coming on also, sometimes but not ever-time, the steering fine thou, but all these electrical faults are adding up, drives door now wont open sometimes when using remote, interior light wont come on when opening drives door, but will with others doors, warning buzzer if you forget and leave lights on, now doest work, and on top of all these wee niggle problems had to fix rear door leaks. Do I still like this car, Just!! Maybe all the skoda jokes I was worried about before buying are for real.

  11. Denseddog I can only sympathies I have been through it! only bought mine for my wife in September £3200 34 k on the clock, the only thing on the car I did not check when buying was for damp foot wells, If I had of and found damp, I would never have bought, But luckily I was able to fix myself, with the good advice on this site, I have had a lot of niggle problems with this car in the short time I have owned it, central locking, door buttons sticking down, inter light not working etc. By now I should be hating this car, but there something about it I still like
  12. Your are been over charged, My Skoda dealer asked £90 for both rear doors, Even at that I thought it was over priced, So tackled it myself with the good advice found on here, for me the hardest bit was removing the door winders, but its well explained on here somewhere, Have to agree with you It is a bad design fault and should be done for free,
  13. Thanks Kwacka well done in finding this info, It sure looks like this is related to my problem, but looks a bit to much for me to take on, So ill get a quote, and depending how much ? I will either live with it or get it sorted
  14. Yeah I would go with the back carpets wet due to the back doors seals failing, thats how I discovered mine, misted up windows.
  15. Thanks for that, everything here seams to be pointing to a fault in the drivers door . it doest turn the interior light on , yet all other doors do, and as I said the door looking again as if it was never opened, plus I just found out the lights on warning alarm does not sound if you go to get it with the lights left on, which makes me think there is something within the drivers door that is not telling the car it has been opened, But what ?
