  1. not seen the green in the metal yet only pic, but so far i like it. and i loved the orange of the older car. cant stand the blue though. it looks too tame and normal same as the race blue on the vRS. the white would be the one for me though. it looks very menecing in white with the black trim parts.
  2. i like to think of the v in vRS as two fingers to ford, as in "F**K YOU, its still an RS"
  3. yeah, awsome gti do the ecs kit alright but thats 315pounds for that kit. then shipping to the south aswell on top. it'd be the same as buying from the ECS website direct.
  4. i was going to go that route but cant seem to get both from the same source cheaper. GSF don't have a listing on their site for any g60 flywheel.
  5. okay so in the spirit of this thread, seems as the question is answered, i've another, can one touch be activated on the mk1 ocky vrs? love it on the mothers mk2 and would like to have it on my mk1. hoping its a case of a quick switch of a few digits like cruise control activation is..
  6. good stuff. thats what i wanted to know. will pick up a new clutch and flywheel straight after work on monday so. only just realised that i parked the car up and it's been 5weeks since i drove it.
  7. So i need to replace the clutch and flywheel on my AUQ engine VRS, priced the parts here and they want over 500Euro for the Duel Mass Flywheel and clutch kit in a dealers here in Dublin Ireland. Gave GSF in belfast a ring and they have a kit for the AUM engine priced at about 300quid sterling. the only problem is i want to be sure that the aum kit will fit the AUM 5-speed. anyone shed more light on this? when i enquired with the dealers here, nobody could shed any light on it. some didnt even know the auq was a 5-speed.
  8. that pic was at castlewellen a few months back. i didnt take the pic i'm afraid but there was a really old skoda (105 i think) parked next to the blue one who made the trip up the m1 aswell.
  9. pics up now. had to do it in two parts. laptop error half way through.
  10. hey all, just wanna say hello, i'm a big vw fan but more into older models then anything else. the parents have had a string of skodas and i had to pick myself up a new daily driver (mk1 gti was a bit harsh in the mornings) so nabbed myself a yellow '03 Octavia VRS with about 35k on the clock and havn't looked back since. car was originally sitting in skoda Ireland HQ (as an ornament i geuss)before being sold on. i bought it from a skoda mechanic who had it for 2 years, drove it at the weekends and kept it spotless. so heres a couple of pics :
