  1. My Octavia vRS is now sold :(

  2. Or you could buy my 2002 Vrs with more mods but better condition?????? http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2216278.htm
  3. I believe the Centre one is a 39mm Festoon. I would check and just pull the cover off and measure it! Just to make sure!.
  4. Thanks for the response's guys. Im very happy with the T1R's. I will def be getting some more when the rears need replacing!!!.
  5. Hi guys, I've had to order two new tyres for the front of my mk1 octavia vrs. After reading all the old posts I've bit the bullet and ordered two Toyo Proxes T1R (225/45/17w) at £95 each fitted. However is it the right choice??? I was offered two Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric for £115 each fitted. Would these be any better for the money???? Obviously I want good dry/wet grip but I also want to get good miles out of them too. These will replace the standard size rears when they eventually go too.
  6. Chicken eyebrow - Awesome gti store sells the Neuspeed 28mm ARB for about £150! well worth it me thinks!!!
  7. Do you get in to there via the Cable housing in the engine bay??
  8. If you think you still need to change your speakers then try Infinity Ref 6522si! They fit straight in with no mods needed! they sound really good too! You can pick them up from halfords for around £75!
  9. Before anyone says - yes I have looked for the answer however Ive only found stuff for the fabia! But where are the gromets so I can run my Amp power cable in from the battery??? Cheers!
  10. I agree with x-in-man!!! I was with them a few years ago. Police car drove in to me on a 999 call. Completely not my fault as I was stationary. Yet it took them over 13 months to say it wasn't my fault, a lot of calls on my behalf and it was with someone different each time!!!! They made a bad time worse!!! Highly UNrecommended
  11. I knows its prob common knowedge but does anyone know where I can get an adaptor for the Multi changer in my Mk1 Octavia to fit my Alpine Head unit?????
  12. I got the Infinity Ref 6522si Fronts in mine now. Not sure how simular they are to mannyo's 652i's but they fit perfectly. They use the same screw's/screw holes, They dont require modding the door in the Mk1 Octavia at all. The only thing I did was cut off the OEM connectors and added spade connectors. Job done in 5 minutes max for bth speakers. Good sound from them, nice and clear. If you want Bass though get a sub!!! All in all im happy with them at
  13. Firstly unlucky on your loss :( My advice would be to stick to known names. Alpine is one of the better makes for quality/reliabilty/sound and most of all price. You can get a decent sub and amp and co-axils for £400. I would get a good 12' sub. This size is a good allrounder for all types of music (10' for faster beats (dance etc) or a 15' for slower beats (R&B etc)) Try to balence money for Sub/Amp well because the amp can make a huge difference in sound quality too! I know you said you have one but a decent head unit can help for the quality too as long as it has enough adjustments on it. You dont need a lot to get good sounding loadish music in the octavia. As long as you pick well and dont get sucked in to deals you see in the mags. Below are some ideas! Car Audio Direct - Alpine SWR-1242D - Subwoofer Alpine MRP-M850 1500W Digital Mono Amplifier, MRP-M850 Mono Amplifier and as a decent base model headunit if ever you wanted to change yours.... Alpine CDA-9887R CD/MP3 Tuner Hopefully this has been some help to ya (oh and sorry about the grammer and spelling - its 0520 in the morning and im at work so im knackered!)
