  1. Any chance of jumping on this if its not too late?
  2. Mine doesnt come on at position 1. Pretty sure it did when I got it, but its not really bothering me. Expect it wont get worse so I'm just leaving it!
  3. I got my Kestral polisher + Meguiars polishing kit today from Elite, intrested in this to get a basic starter kit! Will try and order one on the weekend! I just hope it stops snowing!
  4. Think I saw these for sale on eBay about 2-3 months ago. Went for just over £1000 if I remember correctly.
  5. My dads taken it out for a few emergency stops, said it was fine, but he hasnt driven it enough to notice anything wrong with the ABS. Might let him borrow it for a few days see if he finds anything strange with it. I still prefer the non ABS system on my Fiesta, hahah. I'll take it to the garage soon and see if they can find anything the matter. Thanks for the advice.
  6. Hey guys, Back on 28-09-2008 I posted a thread on here saying I had a small accident due to a servo hose breaking, and got replaced by the local Skoda dealer, no hassle. (But the bodywork damage wouldnt be paid for. :() Recently though, I've been having a similar problem and the ABS keeps kicking in when I brake and it doesnt seem to stop any faster, infact half the time it doesnt seem to even make a difference! What I've noticed in most of the occasions when this has happened, is that the car goes over a bump, or through a pot-hole and then it kicks in. A few of these times I've been close to coming into contact with other cars, including a Maserati that cut me up and slammed on his brakes. Just wondering if this is normal, or is there any way to alter the sensitivity of it? Thanks, Thom.
  7. What I find more annoying is when the people in the car parked next to you, open their doors into your car, leaving a nice dent. Over the last 2 months I've found 4 or 5 dents on my doors. I was actually sat inside for 2 occasions and there was no "sorry" or anything! They were completly oblivious. Gerr.
  8. First week I had mine, it noticed it. However mine was a 5 min fix, took the door card half off and a clip fell out, and its been fine ever since! Worth doing as its such a quick check.
  9. Does anyone know the tyre pressures for the 1.2 HTP Fabia? My tyre infation chart is too worn to read.
  10. I found on this site something about the servo or vacume pipes leaking and having an effect on the breaking system but on the Superb. Happened to me today in my Fabia which I brought about 2 weeks ago. Pressed on the brakes pulling into a parking space (at low speed ofcourse) and there was nothing, tryed pumping it and still nothing, by the time i got the handbrake up I hit the curb and pole in front of me. Lower bumper caved in, fogs not working and part of the radiator bracket snapped. The break pedal was quite stiff, and made a thumping feeling, like it was just rubbing the break disk? Quite similar to driving over a cats eye in the road. Anyone had similar problems? Who should pay for the repair, me or Skoda? Is it covered by any warrenty? I've been driving it reasonably trouble free before this, it has happened before at low speed when I slowed down for a Zebra crossing, lucky I didnt hit the kids! Thanks, Thom.
  11. I'm Thom from near Bristol. I have a Fabia 1.2 HTP. A much needed upgrade to my clapped out Fiesta. I might do some subtle interior and exterior modifications but otherwise it will remain pretty much standard! See you around guys!
