  1. The first turbo failed due to snapped shaft, no remap car is stock. Our mechanic inspected the IC piping and there was no oil and the turbo showed no signs of leakage. Fitted the new turbo, primed and let the car idle for around 10 mins. No probs, gave the car a short rev again fine. We then took the car to 2000rpm held at which point it revved up and we stalled it to stop it. Car had then hydraulic locked. Removed glow plugs cleared all oil and it was full. Tried running again same occured, we feel the seals on the new turbo are leaking and putting oil into the intake system causing it to run on the Oil.
  2. The Skyline/Evo will be for the business for now but I am hoping to get one eventually, we are based in South Wales, and you could be surprised with the costs of such a car Thanks Antony
  3. I have had quite a bit of interest, I am really not looking forward to letting it go but hopefully the money will be going to import our first Skyline/Evo 5 and get the business going.
  4. Hi all, On thursday I had to go from Merthyr Tydfil to Aberystwyth and back, and if anyone knows the route it is, well lets say twisty. Now I thought my Fabia would be OK going up these roads but thought might not be as much fun as some of my previous cars, 106 GTi and Remapped Cupra. God I was wrong really really wrong. I know the roads quite well as I have a caravan near to Aberystwyth and was able to make good progress, the Eibach springs seemed to have transformed the car and the torque and grip out of the bends was amazing. The other thing that I found was that with all that torque overtaking was so much safer, just a little blip of the throttle and you were past. To sum up I have not had that much pleasure from my car in a long time and the Fabia had so much more to give, even though it was quite wet it didn't concern me once by letting go at a bad time. I am going to miss the car so much especially when I am getting a cheap one next. Thanks for reading Antony
  5. Not sure really but should be around 170-180bhp and circa 300 ftlb of torque. I think Josh may have more info. It feels amazing without going above 2.5-3K revs you can get a lot of speed. Antony
  6. I am considering selling my Fabia and have popped a link here. Could I have your opinions please on what to do selling, anything really (meaning of life etc) Thanks Antony
  7. My mate had one and performance wise it wasn't great my Standard 1.8T Ibiza was alot better in a straight line and that is only 156bhp, but I would have thought in the bends it would be more than a match for alot of standard cars.
  8. I have T1R's and managed to eat them in a little over 3 months and 3K miles maybe 4K, I think I will try Nero's next. That said I cannaot fault the T1R's for grip but Custom Code does make them spin even on occasion in 3rd
  9. Bloody hell this is an old thread I have almost worn ouy the T1's I bought
  10. IRC the FR Ibiza has the KO3s Turbo and maps easily to 220bhp, couls be the same story for the Polo.
  11. I got that course next month hope it is good, the 2000 version was.
  12. I have it and I love it , and JBS/Badger 5 are so helpful.
  13. I am going to dao the Annual at the end of October when the car gets to 10k as I find it easier to do this rather than getting a 12 month service 4 months later. My dealer has quoted
  14. I proposed last year and I am 24 now do it, we now have a house together and things are great.
  15. Ironically I am listening to Pink Floyd - High Hopes, which is quite depressing
  16. I have lots of speed bumps in my area but have no problems. I have the Eibachs which I believe is a 25mm drop. Antony
