  1. Yes, the pouch in the boot contains engine oil for the 1.8 tsi ;-)
  2. Started a new thread - oops! I should've checked first. http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/298527-range-rover-style-indicators/
  3. Further to my previous post which was spawned when following a Range Rover the other day, here's my first attempt at replicating the "double flash" indicator effect. No idea yet how I'll interface it with the Yeti can-bus (will need L.E.Ds as filament lamps won't react quick enough). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vzu_sywE4qY&feature=youtube_gdata_player
  4. I do like the way the indicators on the new Range Rover almost "double" flash. Must be LEDs as filament lamps couldn't react quick enough for the effect to be noticed. Hmmm project idea...
  5. Ooh yes, and the roundabouts that have no lane markings left so that if you don't know the area you get pipped and gestured at for not making good progress
  6. Drivers who simply won't indicate. It's as though the rest of us don't have the right to know where they're going. Its especially annoying approaching roundabouts on the 'ped as every last ounce of energy has to be preserved or it takes me five minutes to accelerate up to a reasonable pace again. I love this post - venting is so healing.
  7. I went a few years ago really enjoyed it. like you, I sat on a lot of top bikes. Sadly the Ducati Multistrada 1200 I sat on depressed me - imagine for a moment sitting on your dream bike and not being able to reach the floor *depressed*.
  8. Like FUBAR says, a great bike. In MCN last week, someone had turned one of these into a Mick Grant KR rep. It looked fantastic I had a Versys for two years (same engine/frame) it was brilliant. Economical, nippy - just let down by a poor standard rear shock which I changed for a Nitron.
  9. When I used to have the Harley, most would still acknowledge. Some would just ignore, but one bloke on a sportsbike (not sure what it was) actually shook his head - No. Silly arse. I always nod to anybody on two wheels - its nasty out there. I have had a car try to knock me off as he took exception to my filtering on the ped. Never had that on any proper bike. Might pop to Matlock Bath on it one Sunday morning and see some of the blokes there I used to speak to - surely its about the person, not the bike? They'll love it when I slot in between a gixer and s1000rr :-)
  10. Thirty two pages? That's healthy discussion that is guys :-)
  11. I would like to get my 110 CR remapped to deal with the awful response in 4th or top between 50 and 70mph which catches me out on motorway overtakes occasionally.
  12. Sadly my 1999 VFR800 FIX had to go to finance the yeti. Got a 49cc (count em) Peugeot Vivacity compact (10inch wheels) which was a gift from the brother in law. Looks nice after some fettling. Good fun nodding to fellow bikers as they hate it when a scooter does that. The pug is off the road again now due to the front forks being busted by too many ploughed field roads :-(
  13. I have a camera that I intend to fit as a dash cam. I'm afraid it might be essential now. The other day an Astra estate attempted to undertake me and nearly ran into the back of the lorry I was overtaking at the time.
