Suspension / Steering issue

Have they checked the rear end too? Never saw it mentioned? Could be steering from the back -
Terrible screeching noise coming from near side wheel

Mine often gets stones trapped between the disc and back plate, my Octy VRS estate was even more prone to it, strange thing to happen, must be designed in a particular way -
Thanks for the detailed input, I can't be bothered with all that hassle so I'll leave it be

Defo got interference through mine - previous 4S was ok and no problems so only thing changed is the phone. :(

Anybody gonna try this out, or better still done it already with a how to
-
Thanks for that - all sorted - O/S/R window was the issue as it didn't work on one touch until it had been cycled up and down. Mirrors now close.
-
Just to add, went to try again and search menu - can't see an option to disable the fold, but when sitting in the car, lock and hold keyfob both doors make two loud relay clicks in quick succession and the mirrors dont move :(

Had a quick search of the forum and couldn't see anything more recent than this thread on mirrors. My mirrors folded in on a 2 second lock press, right up until the other night! When you hold the lock button (especially in the dark) you can see the puddle lights dim as thought the mirrors are asking to move but they don't. They will fold in if you turn the switch to fold but not on the lock hold - nothing touched or changed, any thoughts? Temps aren't low here yet

Anyone else got an iPhone 5 connected to their Superb? The quality is appalling - there are constant 'electrical' noises like a radio would pick up if there was electicity sparking nearby - really hacked off, with Apple of course, not Skoda

Interesting thoughts at one year ^^^ Mine is just over a year now and have done 12000 miles I love the car (170 DSG estate) but I have some issues.... My Conti tyres were bald at 6000 miles! Tyres are on contract so Good Year efficient grip on now and seem to be lasting far better My rear wiper doesn't clear the window properly in the middle of the blade. Never actually took the time to look at it though. I now have a vibration, noise I mean, a deep, deep vibration which is starting to really hack me off - I do have roof cross bars and will need to remove them to be sure it's not them, I doubt that it is though. Stalls quite often when you put it into D. EML came on one day - never returned though. My bonnet Skoda badge has delaminated - absolutely rubbish for the age. The dark blue was a mistake - always looks filthy. All that though and it's got to be the best car I've ever had for an everyday vehicle. Headlights, space inside, looks, comfort, all the equipment - overall experience is good -
And in goes the window :'(

I've searched on here and on Google - no luck with a proper answer. One of my customers has a 2001 Fabia. It's locked. Key won't turn the drivers door lock. The central locking fob won't unlock it either. Tried new battery in it and held button for 60secs but no joy. Can't unlock via central lock button on door armrest, can't unlock via pulling handle as I believe is deadlocked. Tried pushing electric window buttons too, they don't work with the ignition off. I've know the customer for 15 years, he ain't trying to steal it and neither am I!! Can anyone suggest options. Or answer these queries? Are there rods in the door which will unlock the deadlock feature and are these unshielded - groping around in the dark is a bit of a pain if there is no way in! Can I back power the ignition from somewhere that would allow me to put the power windows down? (bonnet isn't open either) Wondered if there is a covered barrel on the passenger exterior handle but doesn't look like it? Or am I looking at a brick job? Reply via PM if you feel your response is of a sensitive nature Thanks

Is there any chance they don't fold if the outside temp is below a certain level? Mines fold, didn't fold for one day, then fold again without playing with any settings or resets :wonder:
