  1. I think the advice is use the correct vag stuff else you have probably shagged your pump and possibly rack.
  2. I know that on my old audi 100 you had to buy the pas fluid from the dealer. Other stuff was not good for seals etc
  3. 2001 won't need EGR setting changed in VAGCOM, my 2004 ALH needs this doing as my engine light has come on
  4. 285k but apparently had a new turbo in last 2 years. I drive gently.
  5. So alh with 110 injectors and a remap should be fine then.
  6. Ordered new seals today. 57p plus vat each!!! Could I do asv injectors and a blacksmoke alh remap?
  7. I have the same car, 2004 model. THinking of doing the same. I have a set of 4 ASV injectors sitting in the garage.....
  8. doing mine today. Also changing inlet manifold and cleaning and blanking off EGR. ALH, 283k miles. Started doing limp mode under power after filling up last week. I do boot it up a hill once a day though!!!!
  9. Hello, I have a 2004 Mk1 Octavia that is on 280k miles, and is my daily hack. Paint work is not brilliant (was a private hire car). Saw this BMP1 armoured personnel carrier , and thought about painting mine in NATO matt green, and putting czech flags on the doors, and maybe like this: http://rat-look.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=10316&hilit=army&start=22 Thoughts? I don't think an Octavia has been done before.
  10. I just ordered quantum 5w30 for £25 delivered off eBay..
