  1. Your engine will be running on the get you home program within your engines computer which is not designed for extended use. It is most likely the Airmass flow meter that is faulty, had this problem with my old Octy 2.0. It may run fine for now, but that wont last. The tick over with become more iratic and then it will start stalling. I should take it to the dealer they can fix it and turn off your light. Not always cheap mind, is it under warrenty? Other wise you will need a laptop, VAG software and the cable. Thats before you fix the problem.
  2. There is a known fault on the reader coil had mine replaced on my last car cost about
  3. Check your CV joints, may be a split gater leading to the joint drying up. drive your car on a car park ect on full left and right lock if it knocks its a sure bet its the cv joint. It could also be the antiroll bar bushes which are under more presssure in first and second gear.
  4. I have been towing and have noticed a difference in the way the clutch bites and its travel, only done 24k. This is not a good advert for the vw audi group is it? I have heard that in America owners of vw passats are taking legal action against vw because they will not address early wear under warrenty. My last car was a 2 ltr Octavia 99 model clutch started to show wear and judder at only 40k and had to be replaced at 55k. I had a Cavalier which had done over 90k when I got rid and had no clutch problems, dont get me wrong Im very happy with my octavia in every other way and consider them to be a quality car which is why I have had two. Have the people who are running this forum raise the many concerns by its members regarding the clutch issue to Skoda or the vw group?
