Cheers for the help guys. I would need to go to someone with VCDS as I don't have it. Will I need to read my current setup before I would be able to order the replacement controller?? Was thinking, If Eddie is happy to, I'll order the controller and loom, and arrange a date to come pay him a visit with some beer tokens and maybe get it all fitted then??

I've found the steering controllers on ebay, what about the airbag loom?? Would my current one not be compatible?? Would it also need coding to work??

I've got a 2009 LE VRS WITH maxidot, Bolero headunit coded to a 3C8 035 730 BT module. I've managed to pair my Samsung Galaxy S3 with it today and it all connects, however it then disconnects itself and re-connects and continues to do so. Any ideas?? Thanks Matt

Well, reading texts from the Maxidot would be cool, but as long as I can make and receive calls from it and via the bolero, then it'll do the job. Any idea who 'Eddie' is to get the wiring loom from???

Seems that'll it be fine for me then. Don't need to stream as don't really do the whole music thing, and have Aux input anyway and mine if pre-FL too!!

Hi Adam, I can't believe there are sooo many modules....all seems very complicated. I've currently got a Samsung....don't intend to ever have an iPhone. If I change in the future, it'll be to an HTC again. What WILL I be able to do with this module?? Anything other than answer/make calls??
