Anybody have any ideas? I have an octavia 1 110 TDI (300,000mls) which intermittently loses the rev, speed temp and fuel gauge signals. Can last all day or flick off and on. Obviously not a fuse so I suspect a relay but manual doesn't seem to show one supplying these senders. Rest of instrument cluster ie odometer, fuel computer warning lights all work as normal.

TDI 1999 220.000 mls owned from new no mods or engine work performed. On 4 occasions in last 3 months sudden loss of all power for 2 secs and glowplug warning light goes on for same period. Occurs when engine has warmed up, twice on inclines twice on flat (?no turbo boosting being used) No starting problems, economy amazing as always (700mls/tank). Only other anomaly is glowplug warning timing OK first thing in morning (light out after a few seconds) but may not extinguish rest of the day unless engine started. Is this a relay 19 problem that seems so common? Any suggestions will be welcome. Thanking all in advance for help Doc Bob (I can fix humans but not my Skoda!)

I have a 1999 octavia with 210,000 miles. I had bad judder so changed all discs/pads having previously replaced wishbone bushes ball joints roll bar links and bushes. Cured the problem for 2000 miles now back! Pretty sure it is front nearside disc as high brake dust on rim. Tyres have been rotated to no effect. No accidents (have owned since new). Am I just unlucky and have another warped disc or is there an underlying problem causing this? I am light on brakes getting 100,000 to set of pads/discs. Any suggestions welcome
