  1. Thanks for the replies guys, had a few quotes ranging from £85 to £130 per wheel, to fully strip the wheels and CNC the faces, tempted to refurbish the 2 damaged wheels and powder coat all 4 to black ala the vRS 230.
  2. As per title really, the missus thought she'd play chicken with a kerb and ballsed up 2 alloys. has anyone else come across repairing these diamond cut wheels made of butter? Any recommendations of alloy wheel refurbishments in the northwest? I'm aware they'll be a full refurb job. PLEASE HELP Pictures: Front passenger ding 1: Front passenger ding 2: Rear passenger:
  3. Lovely! How's the Ride on the H&R Monos?
  4. In a TSI DSG here, after driving manuals for the last 10 years, and having a company vehicle with a manual. It's ability to slush along, and how much better it is in traffic, made the DSG a perfect choice. Then when the mood takes you, go full nut job mode with launch control and auto blips on downshifts. Quality piece of kit.
  5. Sits very well! What set up have you with regards coils/shocks? Cheers Standard shocks, H&R springs
  6. @DAVEY_DAVE Looks good spacers? Yeah bud 20mm all round
  7. On a PCP, you get the log book, you're the first owner. what's the problem? In terms of Warranty, that's the risk you run, but I'm sure shocks are only covered for up to the first 6 months of Warranty anyway. Hope this helps Dave
  8. The P-Zero tyres are useless in the wet. The 19 inch "Xtreme" alloys mark way too easily. No sound deadening under the bonnet for TSi owners. Generally poor/loud road noise. Stop/start dim witted and slow. Soft paint, several stone chips on the front number already. But otherwise I love my car....
  9. 40 MPG?!? If my mk3 TSI DSG achieves over 30 MPG I'll have a song and a dance. I thought technology was moving forward too. Always had a soft spot for MK1's, older cars seem to have a character. Nice Octy Dave.
  10. On my fifth Skoda now, this one being a Octavia vRS TSI DSG Estate. Think it depends who you're talking to, my friends who are into their cars love it, people who aren't into cars just call it Daves 'old man estate'. Where as if it was a 5 year old, base model Audi/BMW/Merc theyd all be loving it. They'll always be Q cars and that's why I love mine.
