I have just completed 1140 miles and my average mpg=32.1, which is with an average speed of 23mph. I travel about 14 miles to work and its mostly urban. However, today I went on my first motorway run and did 230 miles and had an average mpg of 40.5. So far so good.

I have just adjusted the back rest and moved the seat backwards, stored to memory 3 and it works!!!! However, has mentioned already there is a limit beyond which the system will not store the position on the pre set button.

For what its worth when I receved my car (two weeks ago) it came with the Sat Nav DVD. As mentioned it is V3.

Hi JBLincs I am in Wiltshire and I would love to compare economy figures. I am sorry to see you are having so much trouble with your car. I have done about three hundred miles and I suppose I will have some meaningfull figures when I get to 500, although I have yet to do any motorway driving. Regards Phil

Sorry - I thought I would have another look in the manual and found that it is operated via the key. Is there any way of setting the system to do it automatically?

I have now had my Elegance 1.8TSi DSG for a week!!!! I am so pleased with the car and at the moment all seems to work. However, I remember from the skoda catalogue that the exterior mirrors are"electrically folding door mirrors (after locking of car)". This was standard in the SE and I assumed would be in th Elegance. I have looked through the manuals and on the car system but I cannot see how, if it is still possible, to make the mirrors fold when locking the car. Does anybody know how to get the mirrors to fold after locking the car?

It was the Nokia 2630 on a Pay as you go with Vodaphone.

I did have a look on the forums and could not find any further useful information. I eventually decided to buy a £35 Nokia from Tesco which worked first time and the whole phone system is up and running. Many thanks for your responses.

Hi Many thanks for your reply. I have a HTC Wizard (Prodigy). O2 XDAMini S I used the site to upgrade my operating system to 6.1. I cannot find how to change the bluetooth settings on the maxidot. Does a phone need to be paired before this option is available? .

I had my new skoda delivered today. Intially the car did not see my phone, I have an O2 xda, and after following your excellent set-up the car searched for devices and found my phone. I was given the 16-digit passcode which I entered into my phone.... it then says "connected" but after a minute or two disconnects. Very frustrating. If you have any advice it would be appreciated or it seems I am going to have to purchase a second phone that is compatible.

At Long Last!!!! My car will have its "pdi" tomorow and it will be delivered to me on Friday. Its over 3 months since I ordered and l hope its been worth waiting for? Looking at the comments on the forum its difficult to find an unhappy new owner and I hope I have a similar response.

I ordered my new Skoda last October, a car spec similar to that of JBLincs, and I understand it was delivered to the UK just before Xmas. I am buying the car through an agent and was told last week that I could expect to the have the car sometime this week. Today I have been notified that it needs to complete the PDI process and I may not receive the vehicle this week. I would be grateful if someone could let me know how long the PDI process should take?

Its good to see that models are being delivered. I ordered my Superb on the 9th October and I still have no date for delivery. Like JBlincs I have choosen a 1.8TSi Elegance DSG - petrol and I wonder if anyone in the UK has had delivery of this model? I hope Superb Lady will enjoy your new car and I await patiently news of mine!!!! Waiting for a 1.8TSi DSG Elegance in Cappucino Beige / Ivory leather with "flappy paddles" !
