  1. Why is DSG 2k extra on the 1.6 and 3k extra on the 2.0 cars??
  2. I have not checked out the spec on the Highline Passat, but the Style Superb looks to be VERY well equipped, and I wonder how the costs will compare when spec'ed the same. Sat-Nav alone must add €2k on a Passat?
  3. 2.0 TDI 170bhp €200 4.6 l/100 km - €36,415 2.0 TDI DSG 170bhp €280 5.3 l/100 km - €39,415 2.0 TDI DSG 4X4 170bhp €390 5.6 l/100 km - €42,615
  4. Welcome along from a fellow Corkie
  5. Check and make sure the wheel nuts are tight, it would not be unheard of for a garage to forget to do them up properly!
  6. I had another look at a Rapid during the week, and the interior just shouts CHEAP at me. I honestly believe (in look if not actual built quality) the inside of my old Felicia was better.
  7. The figures for the new Leon FR TDI are: 65.7mpg CO2 - 112g/km I should think the Octavia will come in closer to the Leon but still impressive figures
  8. You have this in the wrong forum bud, you should post it in the Octavia 2 forum
  9. While I do not believe I could ever mix them up for 1 another (saying this without seeing an Octavia), I do think (and fear) that Skoda are heading down the Audi line of stying, just have 1 and change the overall size. Skoda were never style "leaders", but the value card on top of a nice looking car was always a strong point, and so you settled for an "ok or nice" looking car at the right price. To me, the face lift Octavia Mk2 was heading in the right direction on styling, but this new Mk3 has gone back to bland (or nice looking car, from the photos I have seen), but the price has shot up, I bet when I see the full spec and pricing on the Octy it will turn out the Suerb is way better value. I am affraid they now have nothing to draw me back to them, and I fear they will have even less to draw new customers into the brand.
  10. By the time you equal all spec for spec, (elec / heated / leather seats, sat nav, bendy lights etc) I think the Superb will be the better buy in Ireland
  11. Dont know if you got a car yet but this looks good http://www.autotrader.co.uk/used-cars/skoda/octavia/used-skoda-octavia-2-0-tdi-cr-vrs-5dr-dsg-lincoln-fpa-201302045188260?logcode=p
  12. I am sure the UK Elegance will get lots of stuff the Irish car wont get
  13. Looks like Ireland will have the option of the 1.8, but not the 1.4  http://www.skoda.ie/brochures/Documents/NEW%20OCTAVIA%20PRICE%20LIST%20MARCH%202013%20w-o%20DSG.pdf
