  1. No the only thing daddy help with was half of the £650 for my 1st car, an M reg fiesta. I decided not to go to college or uni full time and take traineeship surveying. It paid off. So when I fully qualify I wanted something to repay myself for all that hard work. Apart from an Arsenal season ticket my other love is cars. Ive had my furby for a while and I no all young lads think there Colin McRae but I am a safe driver. Ive done around 25K a year since the age of 17. Theres a time and a place for fast driving. I just want to get a proper sports car. I swayed towards getting something jap with a big turbo or a kit car. Il have a look on the net and visit a few garages at the weekend. THEN talk to Admiral. Since I wont be doing very many miles 1500ish per year for insurence should't be a problem.
  2. il keep it for work, its paid off and insurence is not alot so theres no point of getting rid. I want something qucker though and not diesel. Ive looked into doing my bike test. Its not a bad idea apart from the risk of coming off.
  3. I turn 21 in a few months and Im looking to get myself a new car. I will have just under 3 years no claims and a clean record. Ive got a furby vRS at the moment and want to keep it as I do alot of miles for work and Its ideal. Budget - Car Max 10K Insurence Max £1500 a year What ever car I get wont be used very much, weekends mainly. It needs to be fun, fast and a bit different. So no suggestions of mx-5's please. Im most worried about insurence and wanted to know what I could realisticly own. Ive been looking a few cars: e36 m3, Integras, older skylines, scoobys and evos and kit cars. If you could give me a few suggestions and tell me your experience at own performance cars at a young age that would be great. Cheers josh

  5. Sorry! Ok, Budget for car 15K Budget yearly for insurence max 2.5K - Dont mind a high excess and may consider 3rd party. Cars on the short list: M3 E36 or E30 Old Porsche 964 or 944 Older scooby or evo Nissan s14 Maybe a turbo'd Eunos Anything else? Any help would be good. Dont want to spend ages trawling throung comparison web sites.
  6. Hi, Im 19 years old, a clean liecence and nearly 2 years no claims. I currentley have a Fabia vRS and Im looking at buying a second car with my mother. She does very little mileage and I want something for the weekends. What cars could I insure? I know it goes on many things apart from what group the car is. I will only be doing a few thousand miles a year. cheers, josh
  7. Cheers guys. Im going to ring around some of the insurence companys and get some quotes. Its a toss up between a kit car and a S14. If i get a limited mileage agreement and dont use it for work it bring the premium down alot.
  8. Well I have around 10K for the car, BUT its the insurence im worried about. Ide love a scooby or an evo.
  9. Hi guys, Ive had my furby RS for nearly a year now and love it to bits. Im looking for a second car, something for the weekends. I do alot of miles for work which im keeping the furby for. Im 19 have nearly 3 years no claims and a clean liecence. What should I get? It needs to be: Fast Fun to drive RWD or AWD Im not worried about practicality, MPG, running costs as I will only be doing a few thousand miles a year. Insurnce needs to be under £2500 a year fully comp which will be the main draw back. Just need some advice on how to get insured cheaply on a performce car. Tried researching it but didnt find much. Cheers, Josh
  10. Ive contacted the guy, waiting for a call back. Will they fit?
  11. My brakes on my furby are shot to bits! I need new ones and planning on ordering them tommorow. I have searched the forums and Im stuck. What to get? 312mm upgrade, uprate the standard set up? I want better stopping power, remap planned for next month. Need advice and also a list of parts I need to order. Having a mate fit them, he recomended Nitrac discs and EBC pads? Want to spend £150-£300 on parts. Need help by tommorow Cheers, Josh
  12. I got my Furby about six months ago. Im cumming up for my 19th. I pay £170 odd a month. Alot of money but well worth! At the end of the day you can drive any car fast, and crash any car. You have got to educate young drivers of the conciquences of crashing (cant spell!). In my case my old man told me if I want a Skyline anytime soon then dont drive like a w**ker, and you can drive what you want with a clean liecence.
  13. I need new front disks and pads. Anyone got some advice. Was looking at some Nitrac disks and Greenstuff pads. Dont want anything mental but a bit better then the standard setup. Getting a remap next month so want a bit more stopping power.
  14. Im confedent, not done it before but got all the tools and theres a decent guide on here, so why not? What the wost that can happen?
