Pi springs fitted, xenons fine until today.....
wagonwheels replied to Nixd33's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Sound like your dampers but could be wrong.Often when lowering on original damper they can blow sometimes internally. -
Just back from a rolling road evening at sitech in fife. Alot of people not getting figures they wanted but I certainly wasnt disappointed . Running a 1.4bar with a spike to 1.6 it pulled 3 runs of near identical figures of 243bhp at the wheels and 334lbs at the wheels. When the map (Richard washbrook software) was finally done they said that it did pull well but... No wonder the new standard Sachs clutch can slip in 5th and 6th lol, Sitech said a rough calculation for flywheel figures was +10 then devide by 0.9 but he wouldn't give flywheel figures as its an estimate. Well chuffed anyway for running a standard turbo.

Octavia vRS 2.0TFSI power loss
wagonwheels replied to MarcSmith1983's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
If there's no other fault code then I would say a bad MAF. Was the MAF a new genuine one or an eBay one? Get some live reading and see what readings its giving if you have the means.I had a split DV giving a similar problem with as I would describe it "low amount of torque" with it only giving me power about 4500rpm up. -

wagonwheels replied to wagonwheels's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Thanks for the heads up Andy.Ive just had the dmf replaced so really don't want to bin it.Can your kit be used with a dmf and if so what sort of price.PM me if you want Thanks Stuart -
In march I fitted a new Sachs standard clutch and dmf. Before fitting the new clutch I found the clutch pedal would stick down only when turning right quickly. After fitting the new clutch the problem persisted but after many bleeding sessions it stopped. Now its returned :( ,any suggestions as to what might cause it?

Heard a few mixed stories now about CG clutches wearing very quickly :( ohy brain hurts . -

wagonwheels replied to wagonwheels's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
the only problem is they only rate the twin friction one at 40%increase in torque which by my understanding is 280lbs .They said it should be ok with my 330lbs but could warrant that. The only other option from their range is a paddle one which I don't want. Think I'll need to chance it :/ -

wagonwheels replied to wagonwheels's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Right, im not paying another £550+fitting for the Sachs clutch so I looked at CG motorsports dual friction clutch kit.40% increase in torque ,one side is a paddle the other a normal organic plate. Anyone have an opinion on CG motorsport stuff? -

I ran a badly shuddering DMF for about a year until i changed it.If its under warranty then take the box off it and get it changed I've found a company called CG motorsport.Their stuff look good and at a sensible price. -
clutch advice please
wagonwheels replied to wagonwheels's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Cheers toxic I'll look into that.I was looking at a Sachs stage 1 kit as it seems cheap but it doesn't mention what its rated at.I still want OEM pedal feel if possible -
clutch advice please
wagonwheels replied to wagonwheels's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Thats probably your dual mass flywheel shuddering.I get clutch slip in mine. -
I had DMF failure in febuary and fitted a new standard Sachs clutch and flywheel kit. I had a stage two map done about 3 weeks ago and now the clutch can't deal with the power in 5th and 6th. Now I want to keep the DMF but need a new pressure plate and clutch, what reasonably priced options do I have to deal with about 330lbs? Its a vrs tfsi.
