Did this ever go ahead?
-
I took advantage of the decent weather the other day and went a run on the bike. Roads were dead!
-
Thanks, with the baffles in it's not much louder than stock, but not bothered taking them out as i can't ride it. Only used the bike for 3 weeks since i got it in October so still trying to gel with it. Came from a 2015 Speed Triple R but had to give it up due to another injury.
-
Still not used the bike since October after breaking my arm and shoulder, but eventually got round to fitting my new exhaust on the Tiger this morning. Not the best pics but couldn't be bothered taking it out the garage for a decent picture!

Unfortunately it didn't become an annual meet, which is a shame. A lot of members have came and gone from Skoda ownership since then, which is probably the main reason. Although i think most of us are in touch one way or another. Would be nice to get everyone together again!
-
Oh, and here's my shortened Arrows fitted. Much better this length. Sound a lot better too.
-
When i had my Street i opted for the Akrapovic twins purely because everyone was running Arrows and i wanted something different. With the Speed Triple, i think if i had the choice of free undertails or a free lowboy i'd have gone the lowboy just to be different. Neither are worth £1k+ though Added bonus of decat with the lowboy too i guess.

Just don't stop!
-
Agree on the weight saving but with my lame skills on a bike the saving isn't noticed
-
Yep they're already back on. i hadn't finished riveting everything back together at that point
-
Not at the price of them. Not worth the money. I got these free in the offer when I bought the bike new otherwise I'd not even have opted for the arrows.
-
Decided that the Arrow cans were just too quiet on the Speed Triple even with the baffles out. So the stubbying has begun! Both are now done but just need badges/bands/caps riveted back on. Should sound a bit better

I was actually tempted to sell mine even after 2 months. As much as i love it, the upright position isn't suiting my back injury. But i've been offered peanuts for it as a trade in etc. It's a total riot though!!
-
Only ever had 3 bikes but here we go.. First bike was a 2004 Honda CBR600RR Then a 2012 Triumph Street Triple R which i loved but got written off. And got myself a new 2015 Triumph Speed Triple R this year

Strange Electrical Goings On...

After all that, 3 faulty cells in the battery. New one fitted, car is fine now. Thanks for the input. -

No! The handbrake light etc stays on. Although headlights/fan will switch off so it at least recognises it's not fully on. Confusing. -

Just to add, I reconnected the battery tonight. And the immobiliser lights flashes along with the glow plug light. However, it still started, just doesn't shut off. -

No way of checking battery charge but all connections are ok. It's currently sat with the battery disconnected. For thr price of them, I may just buy a new one tomorrow to rule it out. -
Bit of a long winded one this. Car has been sitting for 3 days, usually not a problem.... This afternoon the alarm went off twice in the driveway so I went out. There were a few warning lights up on the dash without the key being in, however it started just fine. Took it a quick run but on my return, it wouldn't switch off, key completely out and engine still runs. Stalled it to get it off and now it will not start , battery light/handbrake light remain on dash without keys also..and central locking not working. Used my Shark STS to get fault codes 19463 and 17978. One relates to immobiliser and other to camshaft position sensor. I cleared them, still no change so I uploaded the standard map and it started, but then same scenario, won't turn off etc, stall it, won't start, lights stay on dash..... Anybody any ideas? It makes no difference as to which key I try. Car is an 05 Elegance and has previously (years ago) had a new ECU from Shark when it belonged to the previous owner.

If i'm around and depending on location i'll possibly try and come along

What did you do to your Skoda today?
Johnny50 replied to RobClubley's topic in General Automotive Chat
Well mine got a long awaited clay/de tar /polish/wax. Could've turned out better but currently injured so best I could do. -
I only know of 2 that no longer have them.
-
Not quite sure what happened to all the meets. Two years ago the turnouts were immense. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
