Hi all, I am in desperate need of an injector for my Fabia VRS mk1 LE with BLT engine. I have been told the part number for the injector is: 038 130 079 FX X denotes exchange unit. What does F denote? Can I mix and match with other PD130 injectors that people are selling such as 038 130 073 AG or 038 130 079 BX - there are a few of these ones floating around. Finally, Are the injectors coded to the engine? If I were to find a set of 4 injectors from an ASZ will these 'work' out of the box with the BLT. Also If you have any spare please offer them up! thanks

I was thinking it could be as simple as bad diesel or my fuel filter needing a change...

also saying 'take it to a garage' kind of defies the point in this forum doesn't it... obviously i could take it to a garage... but i'm a fairly competent home mechanic and i can change most easy to access parts i'd rather have a go first and admit defeat

Hi Guys, I have a LE Mk1 Fab VRS (BLT) 110k on the clock Yesterday I was driving down the motorway when the car started shaking/vibrating under accel. it only happens between idle and 2kRPM. At first I thought this was the DMF but I'm not so sure now. The car has had a new clutch and DMF at 80k odd, 30k ago (before I bought it but have receipts from Skoda main dealer) it has also had its timing belt done (again before I bought it at 100k - again main dealer receipts) - so I bought it thinking - well theres 2 things I don't need to worry about! over the past 2 days my fuel ecconomy has been poor averaging 40mpg where as a week ago it would be doing 52mpg I got it home and can see that the engine is shaking an awful lot while at idle - I have read a few threads saying to try turning the AC on etc - doesn't make a difference in this case. I have a fault code reader - not a vagcom but an ebay jobbie - there are no errors on the engine To me it looks like it could be an engine mount (rear one) - is this the symptoms you expect to see with an engine mount? however there is no clunk from the GB when changing and the GB is as smooth as I'd expect. There is no lumpy clutch peddle - it is super smooth too. My throttle position sensor has been playing up and I have been meaning to change it- it sometimes idles high until I touch the throttle - could this be a cause? My EGR might need cleaning - I have ran redex derv before and it makes a difference to the smoke coming out the back and the flat spot that seems to affect BLTs. It still seems to pull strongly however I obviously haven't been blasting it since I discovered the problem. If anyone lives Wiltshire way with a vagcom can we check the injectors? What do you think guys?

I know it won't be as good as a remap but its a fair bit cheaper... thoughts and oppinions appreciated, i did search but no real concensous on the subject. k

no, but when pumping with engine on gets harder. level was also low at the moment....

how can i test that it i have reversed these seals? i have just tried em (not driven) no servo, engine off rock hard servo on, engine on soft as a graham norton in camp club is this relevent? or irrelevent? i will go to a garage so don't worry but i jus wanna no...
