  1. Awesome looking job. Very well done! How much of the stuff did you get? I'm rubbish at working out areas!
  2. Sorry it took so long to get back to you, been away a lot and haven't had chance to get the info you needed! I was wrong about that page being the only one you need. This plate http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=261195536438 is what your radio cage goes into, then that screws onto the radio area using the existing screws and holes, then you need a different surround trim that covers the radio and goes all the way down to the temp control dials. I've got the auto climatronic, so the part I needed is 1Z0 858 069 C 9B9. If you have manual temp control, you'll need a different style plate. A friendly parts guy will help you find the one you need.

  4. Just had my seat out yesterday to repair the height adjuster in the base, and this looks identical. All the bolts and clips mentioned are the same. I didn't do anything with the back, but I'd think it'll be the same too.
  5. I haven't replaced the speakers. I like my music, but never very loud, so the standard speakers are ok for me. I've never had any issue with sound quality like you seem to be having. Maybe the aerial connection isn't very good to your existing radio, or the output from the radio itself is poor. See what its like when you put the new radio in, then decide. The adapter plate is all you need to fit the double din radio. You'll have some adapter plate already there for you single din radio, just take that one out and put this double one in its place. I got this radio by the way http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_868945_langId_-1_categoryId_265857#tab1
  6. Welcome! I have almost the exact same radio in mine, but the bluetooth edition. Very easy to connect my phone for hands free calling, and plays music from my phone. You'll need an adapter plate to make it fit in, http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=261195536438 Also, you might need different connectors, but if you already have an aftermarket radio in, you shouldn't need to.
  7. Another +1! If you turn the fans/air con off completely by turning the fan speed to the lowest then off, it'll stop, nothing to worry about at all.
  8. Definitely battery. The lights, cd player etc don't need much juice to run, but the starter for the engine needs a lot of umph!
  9. Just noticed you said it's a 2010 model too...shame they haven't fixed this simple problem!
  10. My reply to a thread yesterday...noise was spelt wrong, so maybe why you didn't find it! It's nothing to do with the door seals, or alignment of the doors. Its the seals around the rear door quarter light. The non moving small window that is. I had exactly the same issue on my old 55 octavia vrs, and have the same issue to sort on my friends 04 2.0 tdi. Obviously the design is different on the estate cars, so this only effects the hatchback models. You'll want to get some standard all purpose black silicone sealant from b&q or somewhere like that. You'll be able to clean up any overrun, but black is best to blend into the rubber seal just incase! Do exactly what this guy says and it'll sort the problem. www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/117320-for-anyone-still-suffering-from-the-wind-noise-problem/page__hl__%20wind%20%20noise (post no.26)
