where was the wire bust? was it behind the door card or in that rubber boot that goes from the door to the pillar? was it easy to replace? cheers bob

I'm sorry that this is not helping you but I am having the same problem, my rear passenger side window just clicks when i press the button. I was going to try a new motor, obviously its not as simple as that.

are those oils semi synthetic, synthetic or mineral oil?

hi guys anyone know what type of oil I should be putting in my mk1 octavia vrs? Basically I'm going to attempt to do an oil and filter change tomorrow, how much oil will i need to buy? cheers bob

Think I've got it. That rules out the AP's for me. I will now start looking at the KW V1's. I think that they are the next step up in price to. I don't suppose you know if i will need a new arb or drop links with the KW V1's? Big thanks bob

I no this is an old thread, but I'm planning on getting coilovers in a couple of weeks. I would like to have the AP's but I definitely want it lower than 25mm as I'm dropping it on the standard 17's and want to fill the arches. The sales people at awesome assure me that i will be able to further than 25mm on the AP's. I'm so confused :confused:

This might sound like a stupid question but dose it really matter if the camber is off slightly off? or will it be way off? I'm aiming for about 50mm drop.

Hi guys. Basically I'm looking at lowering my mk1 octy vrs, and I would like to get it as low as possible on the standard 17's. I was going to drop it on AP coilovers but i have read on the site that these will only lower an extra 25mm from the standard vrs height. Is this true? I have enquired about the AP's at awsom gti and the lady i spoke highly recommended the AP's but she said that, If I was going to drop it more than 30mm I would need an after market ARB to accommodate the drive shafts. I was also told to fit the ARB i would have to drop the sub frame. Again is this true? or can fitting the ARB be done quite easily? Any Ideas much appreciated. bob

I've had my otavia rs for a couple of years and I've always thought about lowering it and tunig the engine. I'm just wondering how low i can go on the standard 17's without ruining the car. Any lowerd octavia pictures would be great. Cheers
