The 110PS is far better than the 90PS for me I think it is a great wee number, couldn't be happier with mine! Health to drive! -

Spaceback 1.2 110, or 1.4 Tdi

I have just got my 1.2tsi 110 and I am so glad I stepped up over the 90PS! I think it is great fun to drive and handles the road well. Mind you I am stepping up from a 1.2 56PS VW Fox :D -
My skoda dealership in Belfast is selling nextbase dashcams for a sensible price and when I asked they will provide the cable and hardwire it for £50. This is £20 more than Halfords but it will not cause any issues to my warranty as it is all skoda endorsed kit.

Thanks for the great advice, very thorough! I will get the hang of all these numbers/codes/wheel dimensions some day!!! I have just always wandered into a tyre place and asked them to stick on middle-of-the-road tyres. I would like to be better informed on what makes them good and what they are good at, rather than the fact that they cost about the middle and could be shockingly awful! Your advice is very useful!

I get my spaceback soon and have been considering winter tyre options. Is it best to get Steels and load them up with winter tyres? Where is the best place to get advice for what would suit at a good price as I find Tyre places will often push you further than necessary? Obviously you have your past setup to use and are happy with it? Thanks,

My experience so far has been very good. I emailed and arranged to come and visit. I wanted to see a particular car that I had already been in and sat in. I arrived and the salesman took me out for a test drive. I decided I wanted a more scaled back option and he showed me an older car in that style so that I could get a good idea of what I wanted. I did not feel rushed. The salesman was very fair and gave me a good deal. I did have to ask for the best deal, as they were not just handing them out, but they were more than fair! I got exactly the right amount for my trade-in. I can't fault them for their efforts so far. I did do plenty of research so knew what I wanted before I went in, and I didn't need to ask many questions as I had been on here and plenty of other online review sites. I would have liked to have the complimentary cup of coffee and a biscuit but I am sure I would have got one if I had asked. I found them to be no less friendly and inviting than other skoda dealerships I have been involved with and I have been to all of them in Northern Ireland.

Thanks for the advice Chris! I don't take delivery for a few weeks yet and have asked to hold it till January so it is a 2017 car. I am hoping a genuine set pops up for me to buy.

Not got my rapid spaceback yet but am planning to get some roof bars. Has anyone come across these roof bars and are they any good? Farad roof bars of eBay both steel and aero. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Farad-Roof-Bars-Skoda-Rapid-Rapid-Spaceback-2013-2016-5-Door-Steel-Lockable-Pair-/131360355118?fits=Car+Make%3ASkoda&hash=item1e95aff32e:g:1lMAAOSw41xXPZRP I am also interested in any other inexpensive options either new or second hand and happy to take any suggestions. Thanks

I just got a rapid spaceback and am looking to get a good boot tray with raised sides. Want it to fit nicely. Any suggestions? I saw an earlier Costco post but I hate the smell that comes off the cheap rubber! Also I saw some great mods for the boot which provide storage for fire extinguisher and other stuff. I can't find them online and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.
