  1. J I fitted a 312 conversion a few months ago and i was getting rumbling and wheel wobble during braking. After replacing both outer cv joints this issue has now gone:)
  2. Im earning 34k now in my full time job, but setting up as a Mortgage Broker part time and building business selling mortgages, with additional selling of protection and writing wills. Looking at keping car for minimum of 2 yrs. Suppose i really need to speak with and accountant at the pros and cons.
  3. Right guys i need some advice. Just setting myself up self employed so looking at Sole trader or Ltd Company. Was thinking of getting new car for visiting clients, but dont know if i should lease or buy outright and finance. Any advice would be welcomed:D

  6. Like Jason I too have played with my 100 to the point that its hybrid time for more power. With all my 130 components on the car its sitting at approx 185bhp.
  7. Anybody got one fitted? I want to listen to one on the road. Just fitted a cat back non resonated system which i found was quiet, and now itching to fit dp. Im located Grantham off A1 between Lincoln and Nottingham
  8. Guys as an extra comment, I was assuming that the 5 speed driveshafts were inferior to the 6 speed ones. Can any one put a vernier across them to tell me otherwise. Moreover, are the joints upgraded to?
  9. Im thinking of going down the route of putting a hybrid on my PD100. Some of you may already know that ive got many bits of the vRS on my car already, those being turbo and injectors and all the intake side of the car. My figures curently stand at 180, but with teh hybrid im looking at 195 - 210 ish. My concerns are the driveshafts, and im wondering what my options are. Can anyone give me guidance on this? IIRC the 6 speed ones wont fit - is that right Jason;)

  11. But clutch is defo not slipping and my mods are only like a normal vrs remapped. th ejudder may be me dragging th eclutch thinking that the car will stall because of where the bite is though
  12. Im not sure im being paranoid but im sure my clutch bite is biting further at the bottom with a very slight judder when coming off clutch, but that may be me. I have no clutch slip whatsoever. Ive been advised that the clutch servo is all connected through the main brake resevoir and may help with a full oil change and bleed. The only thing that has been touched on the car is a brake upgrade from 256s to 288s then 312s at the weekend.
  13. iirc doesnt it say on a sticker on the slam panel eg refridgerant type and wieght, at least it does on my car
  14. If things work out I need to get a car trailered back from Bolton to Grantham. I can get a hold of trailer but havent got a towbar :( Anyone close to me want to earn a few sheckles/beers
  15. When i had mine last serviced they put a dye in to check for leaks at the same time. They found a leak on one of my pipes - they wanted £150 for the pipe plus fitting
  16. So the seal you are refering to is on the rubber 90 degree pipe that fits into your EGR? As theres another seal the other end whee it attaches to the inlet manifold. Dont think you woud have any probs here just because a seal has gone. Did you here any hissing from the engine? ie boost leaks
  17. Its taken me 27 yrs of continuous RAF training to be "Rough as Fook":D
  18. ive got a spare asz engine egr sat in my garage - not new but good nick if anyone wants to make me an offer;)
  19. Heh with 10k miles on those hubs and brakes set up why should i refuse:D
  20. Defo pads fitted correctly, so i can only assume i need to bed in again
  21. Just upgraded my 256mm brakes by putting on new 130 ASZ hubs, 288 discs and calipers from a Fab Vrs. Noticed that when all done i pumped the brakes and they went hard, but there was some drop in pedal when i pushed again:confused: Took her out for a spin and in all honesty i was expecting more feel - perhaps firmer brakes. My mate reckons that because i used a low mileage secound habd set of discs/pads, that they'll need to bed in again as we cant guarantee that the same pads went onto the same disc. Whats your thoughts on this guys?
