  2. hi all i have a 2006 vrs with blt engine and 49k. engine over idles when driving about town, stoping at junctiond ect. blip the throtle and goes back to normal. mine also has a misfire when idleing when cold after about 5 mins. kinda iritating also my dealer was usless when got bar brandnew! 5 200 mile trips to fix fuel gauge then another 2 to replace egr all whit in 1st 6 months. another complaint is the drivers seat sinking. payed £1400 for the black leather but have a metal bad worn through the foam seat cushion. on the right hand . replaced but did same within 500 miles.never been to dealer in 3 years and better off local indipendant servicing. thanks george .
  3. your car is what my one will maby look like one day! recommend a debadged milotec grill tho any problem with your numberplate and the cops? im going to do it to mine but had my wories i have a similas plate on the rear in the centre and it makes car look wider! one day i will post pics! nice car m8!
  4. nice cat! iv heard that decating the vrs is bad for the turbo {KKK} but i nave since discovered mine has a garret turbo on it! its a 56 reg so maby thay have swaped them for better ones??
  5. i ran my vrs with just the cat on for3 months be4 i got blueflame decat on.it isnt loud til about 3000 rpm then it screams but lift off wen you see cops and its quite.was thinking of a side exit job after the cat but went for full blueflame system.you want to hear it with just the decat on!!!had to turn car to put rest of exhaust on so only did half mile but doesent sound like diesel!!.anyone now of any good places in north scotland for a remap???
  6. hay guys, anyone suggest a good way to put the hose through the bulkhead ?? also you can get a hepworth sdw1 55mm plumbing joiner for about £2 and its just about perfect to make a pod out off.just need bit of insulating tape round back of gauge to make up the 2mm.
  7. thanks for that.i have had many doubhts about dv thats y i have a switch in car to bypass it wen i cant be arsed with it. i promise i wont say i have one ever again;-[
  8. hi,what i have found from other vrs owners is that because the airbox is at the back of bay,you are best to just get a pipercross panel filter in old box. induction kit looses power due to heat soak from the engine and radiator. i also think your noise comparison is because the 90-110 tdi engine is difrent from the vrs pd engine. not 100% but you cant remap the tdi but you can a pd engine?? thay say a seat cupra 160 intake pipe is the answer for best air flow. any help?
  9. it has a control box that has a adjustment screw for time it stays open.i have mine on the minimum.i disagree having driven it without one for about a year.i honestly would say it works ok with decat system.the forge valve has no rubber seals to break, just a alloy ball with interchangble springs. ps,still get 55mpg average and 45mpg driving flat out locally! also, the blueflame cat back system only fits blueflames front pipes!!
  10. hi all,i have just put the blue flame decat pipe and cat back system on my fabia vrs.is is well worth it and is slight burble till 2500rpm then it starts to sound like a golf vr6! ps,i have forge dumpvalve on two years and with exhaust sounds and drives amazing.it does reduse turbo lag slightly.hardly any smoke of it ether.1st mot next month aswell.hope this helps
  11. hi ben. i have a fabia vrs .its 56 reg and had it from 5 miles brandnew. it has always dribbled oil out of egr valve and dealer said it was normal.had to get bigger 18mm gasket fitted tho after 10k.the engine would shuder at 2000rpm before it was fixed.hope my vrs does 100k let alone 200k!
