  1. gave up on it yesterday and called the local scrappy to come and collect it. he arrived within 15 mins of phone call.
  2. also there is no fuel being sent up from the fuel tank. i put a new fuel pump relay from the dealer but still no fuel being pumped up. i checked fuse 28 for the fuel pump its ok but when ignition switched on there is no power going through it not even for a second. at first i thought it might be an emergency fuel cut of when cars are involved in a bump, but the superb doesn't have one.
  3. hi all this is a real head buster. but here goes. i went over a speed bump a bit to fast. oops then the car died and will not start. it hasent started since and thats been over a week. i have had it put on a snap on fault reader and this is the fault codes 013176 542, 550 01318 01441 0532 every one i ask says its the injection pump, but it should not go because of going over a speed bump. also there is no fuel coming up from the fuel pump in the fuel tank. all the faults relate from the fuel system thats what makes me think its not the injection pump. has anyone else had this problem from going over a speed bump. hope someone can help. its a 02 reg superb 2.5 diesel.
  4. i took car to the skoda dealer to unlock the immobiliser, was supposed to be £35+vat simple task they said. now they say its the instument cluster is shaged. £460 quid to replace. and who said dealers are feeling the crunch. if i want them to source the charge problem then christmas is over and i will need to assasinate santa. so the charge problem will have to be found by me. so soon as the dash is replaced i will renew my search for the problem starting with all your replys. will repost soon as its fixed.
  5. thanks for all your help guys. its of to skoda on monday to fix the immobiliser as the electrition has some how stuck it in the on position. once thats done i will do further continuity checks on the blue wire from the gearbox up to the ecu and beyond. will post again on monday when i have the engine running again. again thanks for all your help.

  7. could be a sticky solanoid try tapping it with a hammer or somthing solid the next time it happens. check the connectors on the starter, they are clean and tight..start looking for a starter motor..
  8. help pleas been at this for two weeks trying to fix the car. the battery light on the dash does not light up., and the battery is not getting a charge. i have had a recon alternator fitted. still the same problem. so had it tested just incase it had a problem. but it was passed as ok. tested the heavy wire to the alternator it has 12v going through it. tested the brown exite wire into the alternator its getiing 11volts. nothing coming throug the blue wire. checked all fuses above the battery and in the fuse box on the side of the dash. had an auto electrician look at it. he was there for an hour. could not find what was wrong. so when he gave up i went to start the car but it would only start for a second then cut out. now the key light is flashing constantly when ignition is switched on.. tryed locking und unlocking the car but still wont start. im at my whits end. please help. even if you can show me the wiring diagrames for the car so i can try and bypass the original wiring, incase it is broken some ware allong the lume. i know the post is a bit on the long side but i thought i would try to explaine as much as possible.
