  1. Thank you for your second hand story, Darren was absolutely fine when he was at our office. Did he mention that he didn't pay for any of the work done? Like, none of it. Just the parts. And we paid for his paintwork without question, which was frankly tiny, but cost us something like £200 to sort out. We do all that and STILL get slagged off?! I didn't think that's how customer service worked. We even offered to buy the car. Always two sides to a story chaos and chapesses, absolutely EVERYONE at Shark did their very best for Darren and his car and he left happy as far as we knew with less than half the bill that he should have had. AND we paid for the turbo when AET wouldn't honour the warranty. Makes me wonder why I bother at all when people like you are happy to bandy around incorrect statements of fact leaving out more than half of the story, when it isn't really your place to relay it in the first place. Forums can be damaging to businesses when incorrect half truths are written as gospel. I would like everyone on this forum to think about that for a second. When you pay for work done at Shark you are paying people's mortgages, for swimming lessons for my 7 year old. Do you go to work for free? We don't think we should either. Rant over.
  2. Morning everyone! Just a quick note to let everyone know about our annual Open Day, which will be on 30th August this year, Bank Holiday Sunday. It might be a little late to let you guys know but it's the same time as every year so hopefully a few already have it pencilled in to your calendars! On the day we will be running the dyno at special prices, offering remapping at our discounted Summer Sale rate, we'll have a BBQ, music, bouncy castle for the kids and a wide range of our friends from the industry will be in attendance for you to talk to and schmooze with! Proceedings start at 10am, and go on until we're done (approx 6pm). Looking forward to seeing you there!! Ben
  3. Edited the post rather than relisting - still for sale with a £500 price drop and needs to go!
  4. We have a free STS group buy! Check out the Shark Performance section!

    Sharked!

We have custom written maps for people in your shoes before. It's possible to have a great gain in torque and still keep the BHP down if that's what you require BHP are the numbers everyone shouts about, torque is really the important bit!
  6. GNJ are currently moving premises - hence the lack of telephone comms I'd expect.
  7. We have 2 Shark dealers in the North West area that can remap your Yeti over the OBD port, without the ECU needing to be removed. Unit 20Unit 20, Coalbrookdale Road, Clayhill Industrial Estate, Neston, CH64 3UG Tel: 0151 33 66 888 [email protected] | www.unit20.org GNJ Motorsport Unit 6, Lodge Court, Great Harwood, BB6 7FB Tel: 01254 88 33 45 [email protected] | www.gnjmotorsport.com
  8. If you reflash it with the same stock software, it won't help! P0601 Internal Checksum Error can't be caused by something external to the ECU, the clue is in the fault description. What method did you use to load the serviceable unit with your car's data?
  9. Do you mean pretty much the same power (Shark would rather under quote and over achieve than just get people in with big headline figures) and more expensive? The Revo map is £399 + VAT whereas the Shark price includes VAT. I'd like to see one that makes 144bhp on Shark's rolling road. Natalie, if you live in Mansfield and you'd like a demonstration, give us a call.
  10. Just caught up with this Neil, after a potential customer mentioned it to me on the stand at Autosport as he'd read it on the forum. I'm sorry it's left you with a "rather negative opinion" of my company but I'm a real person with a family who deserves a (very rare) holiday at Christmas. I'm sorry you've had problems, but the circumstances prevailed in this case I'm afraid, rather than any influence from us. I hope you're happy with the car now, as I remember doing your map earlier this week. Thanks Ben
  11. Usually the drivers just work out of the box but occasionally it doesn't. Try the FTDI drivers at http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/CDM/CDM%20v2.10.00%20WHQL%20Certified.zip
  12. It's new hardware, so a new STS would be required.
