Hello, It might be a simple question but can you help me find the right oil. Car 2004 Mk1 VRS Octavia combi with 120k on clock. Service interval QG1, oil spec VW50300. I see from the table that I should be able to use Castrol 0w30 fully syn, but my local Skoda said should it be 5w30?? Please help!! Best regards Ant.

Hi, thanks for the reply. The Service Schedule book has it as QG1 (extended service) with variable length of service intervals with oil spec VW503 00. What I would like to know is if I can use a Castrol 5W30 or should it be 0W30? Thanks in advance Ant.

How do, love the site. After many a B-M-(Trouble) -U. I've bought a Octy Mk1 estate VRS. Been new I've no idea what oil she uses, Skoda say 0w30 or 5w30 is fine Now she has over 120k on the clock so any suggestions on what oil to use would be much appreciated Thanks in advance, Ant.
