  1. It turned out to be circlips that had broken in the gearbox and the gears in 2nd were trying to get away from each other!! Gearbox repair place said I had saved myself a whole heap of trouble/money by not carrying on driving it, the beast lives again!!
  2. I use Hankooks cant fault them, blooming 18" rims and pot holes never make em last anyways, thats a different story.
  3. Hi Guys thanks for the info been off PC for a bit. I have decided to rebuild the one I have as you are right its low mileage and we have put most of that on, I did actually think of buying another car as my kids have taken their toll on the interior, may still do that bit, must look on Fleabay. Its actually being stripped out as I type for me to deliver to the gearbox repairer this arvo. Lets hope its not too costly!
  4. Hi all I have a horrible noise coming from my gearbox, the car has done 75K it seems to have come on overnight almost and is in 2nd gear only, when you give it some welly. It has an FCX gearbox code, sorry if this is a noob question but do I need to replace it with another FCX code? Its a shame as the car has been uber reliable but a recon gearbox and clutch kit (while its off) is almost what the car is worth Any insightful help would very much be appreciated. Thank you in advance
  5. Have done over 12k on the V12 on the front of my Superb 170 estate and has some put on the back the other week, have been using Hankooks for years on other cars. My local Indi tyre company who I know and trust use them on their own cars. Nuff said really in my book, very good value and not a "cheap" tyre and not an "expensive" one either. I found them much better in the wet than the standard conti 2 ( I think). As for noise radio to loud to notice anything really!
  6. Yes thanks used a Dlink router and put DD WRT on it and put the setting in and after a bit of trial and error it all works fine. Thanks for asking!
  7. I agree about the cabling and I have done that instead of homeplugs, I wanted to expand the wireless range so I can listen to Tune In radio in my garage! Sad eh!!
  8. Thanks for your help, I did it slightly different and wired it up as an AP instead, might be the same as you said but I liked the idea of it better. Ta
  9. Thanks for the info, simple for you perhaps! I cant log back in the router, I shall reset and try again
  10. Hi Please be gentle! I have plusnet fibre and the router is OK, dont really want to mess with it. I have a second router which I have flashed with DD-WRT and want to try and extend the wireless range in a seemless sort of fashion, if possible. Please dont take any of the above that I actually know what I am doing! Also just let me know if its twaddle!
  11. Again thanks for the ideas and pictures, happy looking dog btw ukcruiser! The dog does not exist yet I am doing my homework before hand, call me old fashioned if you like! It will be a medium size and I also have two children taking up the backseats with all the crap they like to take with them. I want to start as I go on as we want a rescue dog and the safest place is in a crate in the back until we all get to know each other. It may well end up elsewhere in the car! Also when we go on holiday it would be the safest place for it so it does not get buried in lego and dolls! Also the car is not mine and so I need to keep it as tidy as possible hence the boot again. Thanks again
  12. Thanks for all the replies I am after one that only takes up half the boot as the dog would come with me to work and I need the other half. So I guess it would have to be a bit more bespoke that a indoor crate, but thanks again for suggesting that. Lintran look good thanks and Barjo promising as I can go in there and see what they do as they are not that far away. I will post once I have one as it might help someone else.
  13. As title really, looking to get a half/single dog crate, any personal recommendations would be welcome, thanks
  14. Dont know how this works, who gets first dibs on these? But I could come up tomorrow or tonight if it suited you? If not I will get bak in line!
