I too am on my second Roomster and am hoping to get another 2-3 years from it before needing to replace. However there has not been an obvious successor as others have said. Recently I was given a VW Golf SV as a hire car for a couple of weeks in Germany and that seems the best alternative I have seen and driven, I was at least as comfortable as both driver and passenger as it has good headroom and two height adjustable front seats, rear seat space is good and the boot is larger than the Roomster, all while only about 90mm longer. Certainly significantly more compact than a Touran and much smaller than a Caddy / Tourneo Connect or Berlingo / Partner style vehicle. All of these are van based unlike the Roomster, whereas the SV is a car.

Sorry about delayed reply, have been away from home doing 1000 miles on the winter tyres - and very glad I had them. No, not selling the standard wheels, I'll put them back for the Summer

Sorry forgot to second the comment about the Allegro in the snow - though I used to put winter tyres on the front then

I bought a Roomster Scout with low profile 16" Bridgestones last year and was horrified the first time I was out in the snow at how little grip there was. ( I had almost decided not to buy a Roomster because of the the daft low profile tyres, but then realised that the other cars I was considering - Golf Plus and Touran - had them also!) I haven't had winter tyres for the last 20 years since I changed to a diesel car where the extra weight over the front wheels with normal tyres seemed to give perfectly good grip, but fitted set of winter tyres on 15" wheels to the Roomster the week before Xmas. Has been fine all through the bad weather. I opted for the Continental tyre from www.mytyres.co.uk

Have just got a set of 195/55R15 winter wheels for my 1.9Tdi Roomster which came with 205/45R16. To my surprise the handbook does not give tyre pressures, only the sticker on the fuel filler, which does not include 195/55R15. Could someone let me have the pressures, please?
