  1. Now Captain, how am I meant to know?!!! What did you do to your Favorit?
  2. Just picked up my baby and she drives like a dream once more!! They did the work, washed and hoovered her, and the service was absolutely excellent!!! Am going to get the little niggles in her done over the next few months and am more than happy to go there. The salesman explained everything to me in terms I could understand, and was really helpful and lovely. Three cheers for Rivervale, and a major hug for my Cutie who is back on my driveway!
  3. I feel much better. Including both the brakes and the exhaust he's quoted me £500. That's parts, labour and VAT and getting the car back tomorrow. So I think I'm quite happy with that - thanks fellas!
  4. Hello gentle people, long time no see I've been moving house, starting new jobs, and all sorts and the lovely little Felicia did it all with panache. However, Monday afternoon it started sounding a bit rough, and by the time I did the afternoon school run it was a loud noise - like I had done a 'Top Gear' on the car and added one of those boyracer exhausts. This morning, it got worse and worse. The school run was embarrassing with the amount of noise the car was making, and I was really panicking that it was going to blow up or something  Took it to Skoda Rivervale, and that was a scary drive in itself, and they are doing the repairs for me. The middle part of the exhaust has sheared away and damaged the catalytic converter, so it needs completely replacing, and the front brake pads need replacing (they had started to squeak). Now I don't want to depress myself too much, but how much would you say for all that work? Bearing in mind that there is no way I could do any of it myself (have a very bad back and unable to bend or lie under the car or anything like that), and that without my car I am well and truly boogered so need it done quickly. I'm almost scared to tell you how much he's quoted me for the exhaust work and the brakes in case you tell me I'm a complete mug who's been taken for a ride Thanks in advance!
  5. Ok, that is just gross - do you remember how deformed those things were?!!!:eek:
  6. Lol, am I cute?!!!!:rofl: Erm, no, I'm a complete hound dog actually - I dunno, what am I meant to say?!!!!! You lot are insane!!!!
  7. Sorry been MIA. Am waiting to hear if my landlady wants her house back - if she does, I need to throw a chunk of money into a deposit/moving costs. If she doesn't, I can put Cutie in to get the struts sorted. Just hope nothing awful happens in the meantime.... ...and what immortal question?!!!
