[The guy fixing looking at mine used to be a skoda dealer so am hopin he knows what he is doin!! it was run for about 2 miles at 40mph. The tractor noise wasnt as bad at higher revs when it came.

Was driving the Mrs vRS home today and the Oil warning light came on. Topped up the oil and all was fine. Did some shopping and set off again and the light came on. The oil level was fine but the car started sounding rather like a tractor so got towed by the RAC just incase. Any one have any ideas, I read on here about the oil feed becoming clogged wondered if this would sound right?? Cheers guys and dolls.

Yeh, I have that 17705 code most of the time. I have replaced a few of the breathers and cant seem to find any others. Just really wanted to make sure it wasnt a turbo problem.

Every now and again car vRS seems to lose power. I dont seem to hear the same whistle from the turbo as when its running properly. If i stop and switch off the car for a few seconds the problem seems to go away?? Hope this isnt goin to be an expensive fix. :'(

Fitted a new door lock mechanism to my RS today but it hasnt fixed my micro-switch problem. Do I need to use a VAG-COM or the like to make it work? :think: :think: :think:

No gunk in the oil, the head seems fine. Think i will try replacing the temp sensor and see how that works. Not too expensive an option to start.

Na, no puddles underneath the car.

My car is using about 300ml of water every month or so. Just enough to trigger the water alarm. Also when im driving the temperature gauge never stays at 90. It generally hovers around the line just below 90. I think the 2 must b connected. I have had the water system pressure tested and the water pump is fine. Any ideas from anyone. I have a 51 vRS.

I have a symphony 6 disc radio and i cant seem to get the radio to tune to AM. It says in the book to press the A/F button but when i press that it only changes to manual tuning??? Any ideas? :confused:

I took a 57 plate 320d in my standard vRS. Coming from a 30 doin 30 he pulled out to pass, i floored it in 2nd and we kept goin all the way up to 110 and he could not get passed my rear quarter!! Eased off after that. He was glued to my bumper and was not a happy chappy.

my girlfriend took the call from my mechanic and apparently it was a dodgy connection on a pipe from the turbo. She was vague with her description so will speak to him myself.

Im from peebles. Its about 25 miles from edinburgh. Na didnt roll the cougar. Hit a big bad deer. It got up and ran away and my poor cat was knacked.

When I go on a long run in the car(about 100 miles or so) the engine management light comes on. I took it to my local mechanic( he used to have a skoda dealership) and he checked it and said it was something to do with the mixture. He reset it and the light went out. After another long trip the light came back on. As far as i know its a standard car with a cheapo ebay induction kit someone put on. Anyone got any ideas?? Thanks.:confused:
