  1. Okay perfect thank you. if I can get a full wiring diagram for the 1.8t 4x4 it would be very useful
  2. Hi all. I am making a track day car that is also road legal. I want to remove certain parts from the car as I won't be needing them. As such I want to know whether Firstly anyone has a wiring diagram for the whole car (MK1 Octavia 4x4 1.8 20vt) so I can do some tracing of the wires, cut and removal etc, removing full ABS system, I'm moving the battery internal of the car also fitting FIA approved master kill switches to the car. Secondly What sensors and wiring is needed for a running 1.8 20v turbo engine. I will be changing the manifold to a new after market one, same as turbo. Cheers for looking and help appreciated
  3. Would 02m be best then? Just don’t want to spend loads and loads on this
  4. Hi all. Going to be rebuilding my 4x4 Octavia engine and at the same time look at reinforcement for the current gearbox but I can't find my info for this gearbox online. I did look at the 02M but can’t afford the whole lot and I got brand new 02c drive shafts here anyway. (Unless someone has the whole lot cheap) what gearboxes are compatible with each other etc. E.g what LSD and which need 4th reinforcement and 5th gear issues resolving. cheers richard.
  5. Any other braces or better links to braces you would recommend. Also any particular size of ARB best or will they all be suitably stiff?
  6. I'm going to be removing the rear wheel well an installing a diffuser under where it was. Will they then fit?
  7. Having looked on this forum, people have suggested Neuspeed ARB's for the Octavia MK1 but there seems to be a lot of different consensus regarding sizes etc. (also finding one for the 4wd varient) I will explain the upgrades I have already purchases, I am looking at and show a few options I have found for ARB's that should fit the car. Can I get a few peoples opinions on this all as it will help as I am unfamiliar on what set up to go for.? I will be using the car for road and occasional track use. It will have the Haldex controller installed to allow selectable 4wd also. Current setup: KW Variant 3 coil overs Audi TT front strut brace I am looking at get the following to help stiffen the chassis up further and also keep camber correct. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/For-Audi-A3-S3-TT-MK1-1-8T-Quattro-Adjustable-Suspension-Rear-Control-Arms-pair/292700579417?hash=item4426506659:g:7JwAAOSwdklbhK~3 and https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ultra-Racing-Front-Lower-Brace-Audi-TT-Mk1-1-8-T-1998-2006-LA2-2090/400620429022?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 and https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ultra-Racing-Mid-Lower-Brace-Audi-TT-Mk1-1-8-T-1998-2006-ML2-2091/271339738426?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 ARB's I have found are these: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/H-R-Anti-Roll-Bar-Kit-front-and-rear-Audi-TT-Mk1-Quattro-models-coupe-and-cabrio/173793883580?epid=1545757714&hash=item2876ec35bc:g:s30AAOSwqztcSyBE or https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Eibach-Anti-Roll-Bar-Kit-Audi-TT-Mk1-8N-Quattro-Coupe-1-8-Turbo-10-98/232175663087?epid=2108548601&hash=item360ebf77ef:g:axMAAOSwEzxYUtdC The Neuspeed I cant seem to find for 4wd versions. Also wheile I am here, what other upgrades/replacements would people suggest??
  8. Hi all I have a 1.8t 4x4 Octavia (being stroked to 2L and then larger turbo applied) that needs some TLC in the suspension area as I think the cars previous life was by the sea. What would people recommend for a good overhaul for handling improvements? (links would be ideal as searching forums and websites for relevant items comes up with so much choice) I have the Audi TT front strut upper brace. I was thinking about getting these so far: Audi TT Bilstein B16 coil-overs (Ride control coil overs if they do it electronically adjustable suspension) TT MK1 cast arms I think I would then need: Poly bushes all around What would people recommend for the following areas: ARB front and rear ?drive shafts (would want to replace all the gaiters so that I don't have to strip her down again or possibly go new shafts) Whats the lower strut brace I keep hearing mentioned on sites. Drop links Anything else? I have a lot of items that will be going on this car as It is my dream project and I want to do her proud.
  9. I am chasing 400+hp I have a large blower already. Mamba GTX2871R the new exhaust manifold will be sorted soon. e.g https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-8t-Turbo-Manifold-Golf-4-Audi-A3-S3-8L-A4-A6-Tt-Polo-9n-Seat-Leon-Exhaust-T25/233183658004 Exhaust I will be sorting once all engine work completed. I have new valve stem seals, Valves, bronze valve guides, oil pump and pick-up coming. Looking at a new water pump and cambelt (any suggestions to hold the power)? I have an oil cooler. New radiator I have a front mounted intercooler I have an induction kit Was looking at this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MAF-Sensor-Flange-boss-80mm-TIP-Wideband-Vauxhall-Cupra-R-GTI-VW-1-8t/182485762653 but would you say not to and get a standard one from a different car? I was looking at new rods, pistons and fuel system. I have some uprated injectors already that are: 850cc (4x used Siemens Dekka 850cc) I was looking at this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Uprated-High-Flow-Fuel-Rail-for-Golf-Gti-Audi-Seat-VAG-1-8T-20V-20VT-1997-2004/113082527548?hash=item1a543e6f3c:g:4UEAAOSwQYZWztA8&frcectupt=true or https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Aluminum-High-Flow-Injector-Fuel-Rail-kit-for-Audi-VW-1-8L-Turbo-20V-Purple/151913251975?epid=15008426030&hash=item235ebc4487:g:NLoAAOSwa81aRvNX Whats thoughts on this, Also what fuel pump(s), fuel pipes (braided) and pressure regulator would you suggest? What breather system/catch can would you suggest?
  10. I know they are different. hence why i want one as a base
  11. Hi all, I am looking at custom fitting a large turbo to my car and do all the necessary internal modifications required to accept it. I will also be buying/getting made/making a manifold and exhaust system. Ideally, what would people upgrade in the engine and what parts would you use? I think: New forged Pistons New forged con rods New big end bearings new valve stem seals new oil pump new water pump High HP capable timing belt kit Thank you for the help
  12. Thank you for the swift reply. It helps thank you. I thought they were all the same chassis but I wanted to be sure. I was intending on getting a 4x4 and then upgrading it. I just cannot find one for less than £500 for a start point.
  13. Hi all, I am undertaking a project car and want to ask a few things before I get started fully. 1. Are the Octavia MK1 and any other chassis the same? for example donor car parts? Such as the 4WD system? 2. What internal engine components are there out there accessible in the UK for the 1.8 20V engine? I have an uprated turbo coming which will need seriously strong internals (forged parts capable of 400 HP etc) 3. Does anyone have a 1.8t 20V 4x4 version for sale cheap, can be a MOT failure, I just want the 4wd system. I am intending on doing a rally/hill climb style car for a fun project and I have always loved the Octavia since I used to be a mechanic. Cheers Richard
  14. I have had a look at the other post but its not that clear which part I actually need as the listing has ended and there are no more like that on Ebay that I can see. How ever there are these part numbers 1K8 035 730 D Are they compatible?
