  1. What is the standard boost pressure for the MK1 Vrs? Finally fitted my boost gauge today, it's attached the fuel pressue regulator as recomended and I'm showing around 8psi constant on full throttle and it peeks at 10psi... Is that about right??
  2. Yep I swapped everything over the way it came apart, I got a bit anal about it after doing one side and spotting the issue, hopefully your right and it'll settle down again. Drives well though, no odd clunks thankfully!
  3. It's a fair point but you cant run a high core temperature without causing issues, hence large intercoolers and such like, the cooler the air the better the combustion and more power you get. I used to own a turbo vauxhall running just under 350bhp, it had super 4's in it, core temperature was almost normal thanks to some extensive induction cooling.....
  4. Looks the same as mine mate? Where does the blue hose go from the top, are you using that for a boost gauge? does it work?
  5. Ok guys and girls need some help... I changed the front springs on my 2001 Vrs, the original ones snapped, so I changed them with genuine Skoda ones. I'e fitted them but there not as before? Under the bonnet ontop of either strut is a silver "top hat" held on with a single nut, these prior to removing the suspension were flush with the inner wing.... Undid them etc and changed the knackered spring, re-fitting wnet fine and everyhting was put back on as it came apart. The rubber cup the sits ontop of the shock located into the strut top spot on, but now both the "top hats" are sitting high and not touching the inner wing/strut top anymore. Have I missed something??? The car drives fine but I think this is all wrong. Should I have changed the rubber top on the shocks? Dont know if the compress over time etc... HELP!!!
  6. I use Bosch SUPER 4's, they work well and last too Iridium plugs are a little pointless, used them in my Yamaha R1 and was told by the dealership that road engines to not have the power etc to use the heat ranges you pay for on the plugs, good quality standard ones are fine....
  7. Guys your all brilliant, thanks very much Might look at routing my pipe via the off side and through the fire wall that way, then up into the A pillar and into the pod. I'll power the display off the back of the cars light switch to, so it lights up with the side lights
  8. Hi guys, my first thread on here, Woo hoo..... I'm fitting a boost gauge to my MK1 Vrs, does anyone know of the correct pipe to T into for the vacume? or will any on the inlet manifold do? Not fitted one to a AUQ engine before, wanted to be sure. My vauxhall had it straight onto the ECU.. Dave
