  1. Hi. There were 8 red-black wires "off-circuit", under the floor carpet( water has eaten the solderings). I soldered them back together and TADAA! interior lights do work now. well not 100%, door-signal wire has to be loosen too, i dont know which or where! When i open a door (no matter which one) or close, lights don't react. Does anyone know is this door-signal wire red-black coloured too?? Where is it? where is the wire junction to it?? Thanks..
  2. Hello again. Still no interior lights. There is a LOT of water under the floor carpet!! AAArghh!1 I measured the comfort-module (its DRY) underneath driver seat, everything's OK from fuse to the module (blue-red wire)and "output" pins are alive. but i guess there's a short circuit somewhere in the car? Bad ground? My brother has a B5 passat, im gonna try and swap these modules to make sure its ok. And the thing keeps me swearing is that passat repair manual has the same s*it, but wiring doesn't match 100%?!? could octy/haynes be any help? Noticeable thing has occured with rear mirror/map lights on the roof, when i wash the car water drops starts falling from it, sometimes these map light blinks a litttle and disappears. I have to take a look on that.. Thanks for the tips!
  3. Hello. All the interior lights and door /make up lights doesn*t work anymore. The fuses are OK. When i open and close every door, nothing happens. Is there some relays to the interior lights which could be dead? Interior lights uses the same fuse than central locking,so could the c-lock be damaged?
  4. You could try reading my original post one more time, and think the differences between advertising and normal forum-chit-chat? Yea i know i could cut some info and just give the link to the website, but so what. I think this is a valuable information and needed to be shared, i dont know others but i spent a lot of time by searching answers and thinking what the h*ll to do w my vag-player..
  5. Sorry i forgot to mention, this goes only for 1.gen fabia, octavia and superb. Players in these cars doesn't allow direct aux input, it has to be opened via cd-chancer. So this is actually an cd-chancer emulator. I dont know but does these 2.gen skoda players have aux-input selection in the menus?
  6. Hello there. Many of us have bought a "aux input cable" from ebay, willing to use an external audio source. As everyone knows these blaupunkt adapters don't work with skoda/vw/audi-players. I was one of them who "cheated" to buy aux input cable for skoda. This is just a cable with 3.5mm jack and 8-pin mini-iso (blue housing) on the other end. This doesn't WORK by itself. It needs a pcb with microcontroller and some other components, also some wires for transferring the cd-chancer data to HU, +12v gnd. I contacted conofrei, which seems to be specialized on VAG adapters. From now on he sells this pcb with all the components for 17€!! (inc.3 wires for chancer data) PCB with components and pins - Electronics - PCB complete with components - CD Changer Emulator - (Powered by CubeCart) All this WITHOUT "aux input cable, which is very cheap also. EDIT: ONLY AVAILABLE ON REQUEST. There is also complete kits for VAG players (38€ for Symphony CD), check the netstore...
  7. Ok thanks alot. I think this strut bar could be modded easily, to be removable without removing bumper: Could save lot of time when chancing belts?
  8. There is one problem, strut bar between front bumper and engine body-frame that interferes when bending the radiator complex backwards. This 10cm strut bar has one m8 attached to body frame, but solid with bumper on the other end. It seems that i have to crack it, or dismantle the front bumper and front lights. Is there any way round it? If i can bend this radiator complex backwards (12cm as you say) and unscrew radiator fan (only one hex m8 at the head of fan?), i would have a plenty of room doing things to my engine.
  9. Good news and some bad news. The DMF is fine. VW and Skoda repair specialists confirmed that today. Alternator belt-tensioner's wheel & damper are totally wasted. When this magic noise comes up, this belt makes 2-3cm jumps (i mean its loosen) shakes and rattles whole engine. I also noticed the steering-pump has 3-4mm sideway "clap" or how to say, swings back and forward. Is this really normal or is it broken? Skoda specialist said that it should move a little bit, not too tight. Im used to handle tight bearing and stuff so im quite suspicious. I and this repair dude also have a little battle, what to fix or not. He is convinced that alternator's 2nd wheel (a little one under alt.) is broken too. We took some little inpection and it was in good condition. Eitherway it will cost 200-300€. One thing we have thought is, how in the h*ll these guys at repair's and all the people in the world chance these smaller belts? Your hands won't fit there! I heard there is some secrets that repair shops wont tell. One thing they can do is swing all the front stuff backwards (cooling system) and then there is a big space! I can find the locking nuts of this system, but is there DIY guide, topics or journals how to do this? Thanks!
  10. Ok boys, I dont wanna lose original player, so i just ordered from Hongkong a "VW/AUDI 8-pin cd-chancer/aux in (3,5mm) cable" for 12€, and 2.8" touchscreen mp4 player 16GB with suck cup-stand for iphone at total 46€! I call it cheap, but lets see what comes from mail and will it work at all..
  11. Indeed. I have the same Symphony without mp3 playback! This is a one good lookin (maybe best lookin) player and its shame to put it away. Although this player has some ****ty features. it lost's/can't keep up the stations (fm), big volume steps.... How this mp3 playback actually works in Symphony mp3? good? bad? will it handle folders, id3 tags etc?? Is there Aux-inputs or rca-inputs? On ebay they sell therse sd/cf/mp3 modules to MFD sat nav. Can i use it with this one? Maybe ill buy one of those from ebay IF the mp3 playback is decent...
  12. Hello m8's. Im lookin for a nice factory-like 1 or 2-din mp3 player. Button color should be green of course, and front panel black & flat. NO bling bling x-mas trees! Its really hard to find. Older Pioneer flagship's are more likely im lookin for. All kinds of thoughts are welcome. Thanks!
  13. I read some posts (googled) regarding to DMF's in VAG engines, oh dear sad stories. I reckon the same symptoms, sometimes i smell some burning inside the car with idle revs. could be the air valve of DMF, maybe.. If i would knew this thing when chancing my -00 octavia to this one, maybe re-consider the car deal. But anyway, some people say SMF's aren't so bad, even unoticeable chances compared to dmf's. Cheaper, Vaneo clutch kit + flywheel 465€. But then, Superb supposed to be higher-class/almost luxury car (as to me!) and making cheap compromises doesn't feel good at all. All of these what-ever flywheels should hold up to 500 000km. That's my opinion. I'll give a call to Skoda speialist and give it to service....
  14. I am aware that engine cover makes some noise too, im working on it. I'll have to take a chitchat w local skoda service, can they take a look at it. Im afraid will this DMF repair cost me a big money in worst case? Thanks everyone for helping me about.
