If they are off a T5 they won't fit. I know I have both. Different size bolts.

Why not look at Barum? You can get a good deal on these from Tyreshopper.co.uk and National are their fitting centres. I have them on my Scout and used to have them on my wifes Ibiza. I have now just ordered a set of Barum Snovanis Winter Tyres for her VW t5. Barum are Czech and owned by Continental (in fact the tread pattern looks near enough identical to the Conti.

****PRICE RISE WARNING*** Hi all, just watching the prices on winter tyres over the last few days and they have started to go up significantly so if you are in the market get in sooner rather than later. Just purchased a set of winters for my wife’s VW T5 from Poland and they were £64 a corner on Tuesday, they are now £196 a corner! An extreme example I know, but I have also noted MyTyres prices going up by £20- £50 over the last week. Seems that some long term weather forecaster has predicated a harsh winter again.

Yes, but a day and a rinse between the gloss protection and the wax to allow it to cure. Did not see much point in putting a semi-perminant protection on top of a less perminant wax. Really the wax was overkill. Probably could have done the clay bar and the tar remover before the polish, but it was only after the polish I noitced how bad the bottom panels were. No doubt someone will disagree with the above, but works for me.

Thanks all, it is a garage with a good reputation that has served us well in the past. My wife, who took the car in for the MOT said it was not the usual chap we have who did it so it is possible that someone with the lack of experience screwed it up. I will give them a chance to fix it tomorrow, but its a real pain as I have to drive to Inverness tomorrow afternoon and this will delay me. Bother!! I will certainly ask for a some compensation for the inconvenience. Does anyone have a link to some instructions on how it should be done?

So my Scout failed its first MOT today as the head light alignment was too high. The garage adjusted the lights in order to retest, but now I am left with big gaps near the grill end and the light units are no longer flush with the bonnet or bumper i.e the stick out. Has anyone else experianced this? Have the garage just adjusted them incorrectly?

Just watched the Countryfile forcast and it would seem a little early to be taking winter tyres off just yet. More snow this week and next week looks like a possability of a Scandanavian high pushing its way in. Half term skiing in Scotland here we come. More Scout action! Love it.
