  1. Mr Wobblytickle PM'd me in regards to having VRS seat covers. Drop him a PM
  2. I have just purchased a new parcel shelf for mine, when it was bought it had Sony 6x9 xplod in the back. Bass was great, unfortunatly I am at the age where this now gives me a headache. And having a parcel shelf that looks like I have two small cyclist stuck thru didn't appeal. I have been speaking to the local ICE shop and they had suggested that I a "stealth shelf" put in, mdf, speakers mounted underneath, acoustic cloth over the top. Means you can have the 6x9's without advertising the fact. I decided not to go with the option as the OEM speakers where still installed, and gave just enough to fill in the back. HTH
  3. My manager has recently ditched his hotmail account after it was comprmised. Similar, someone sent email to his contacts. He has now moved to gmail. Seems to be a lot of it about at the mo.
  4. Well I may not be able to get a leather retrim in SWMBO's VRS but she has agreed to Cruise Control. Question is how long would this generally take to fit. I have looked a Fabia-VRS.com and looks straight forward. although with no experience of airbags, not something I feel happy about attempting myself. But I just want to make sure that my local garage is not going to take the mickey to much. Also being a relative newbie, I seem to be trawling the site every evening for something new to add. Is VRSstu also fabia-vrs.com. only I notice he is based in Hampshire? Could this be wiser route? Cheers
  5. SWMBO has decided that seat covers are required to protect her lovely VRS interior, and I have been told that it will be a cold day in hell before she allow a leather retrim :thumbdwn: As such I started searching forums, Hatchbag seems to be favourite, but I have checking around and have seen reports of the being/getting baggy. So I have searched further, fleabay... and then to Custom Car Seat Covers - CLN Automotive Ltd UK - Leading Specialists In Custom Car Seat Cover Design. Question is, has anyone ordered/used these before. and what do you think of them. Cheers
  6. Thanks I'll have a word with JKM, had been looking for an excuse to go see them, noticed that I missed out on the RR day there :'(. If anyone else has knowledge on how to do this, then it will be gratefully received, I hate the idea of paying someone to change a bulb.
  7. I have been searching the forums for recommendations for uprated bulbs for the Main/high beam and sidelights on SWMBO's new furby. As such I have purchased some nice OSRAM +50% and LED bright white sides. Next step fitting... opens manual... goto dealer... So I have been searching the forums and have found a 50-50 split between, yes it's possible, and goto dealer. I have also found metions of a "how to" for changing these bulbs in a xenon setup. But I cannot find it. So as a full blown member of the fat hand squad, I ask. Can I change these bulbs without the need of a dealer, and if so can someone point me to the "how to".
  8. Thanks for all your messages. I am now the proud owner of a Fabia VRS, which I am very, very happy with.
  9. Hello and Happy New Year I have joined up as I am looking to get a Fabia VRS, would like to know if anyone has any advice on what to look for when viewing buying, any pitfalls etc. all advice welcome and appreciated. Cheers Steve (Canyonero)
  10. The worst experience I have ever had with a dealership. The sales guy was Harry, he deals with the Mitsubishi side, we had spent the day test driving cars, my gf is short 5' and does not find all cars fit her. our last stop was skoda we wanted to test a fabia. He took us a v tidy 1.2 sport, which we then test drove for 3 miles, with him giving the directions. We found the 1.2 under powered so arranged with him to come back and see a 1.9 diesel ambiente. Upon arrival he asked if we were going to do a deal today. As we were not even sure we would like the car we told him we would not close the deal that day, at which pont he told us that there was no point taking the car out, as he had another customer looking at it that afternoon. We walked out on him at this point! Everything was to much hassle for this guy, he knew nothing about the cars and would not even go and find out about the mileage of the VRS he had on the fourcourt. Test drove a VRS at another showroom and are now in the process of buying one.
