  1. Grinding worked so mot tomorrow and that's my headache over 7hours labour and 2days on the ramp though going to be expensive!!! Tecniclutch I hate you with a passion!!!
  2. Iv got them trying to work round the clearances like I said iv set about things the wrong way sold car received payment spent on new car lol now having problems with fitting clutch can't afford it to take weeks of sorting out as the buyer may pull out witch leaves me in a world of trouble if all goes pete tong I'll be in debt and on the phone to trading standards it drives fine with clutch just clearances are wrong hoping a little grinder surgery work will sort it out iv left bad feedback and ill be on a few forums spreading the word!!
  3. Yea such is life mate tried to get awesome one but sold out lesson learnt never again!!!
  4. Hi guys just a bit of a heads up for people thinking about ordering one of these off the bay now bare with me im not too tecnical I booked in with my local vag specialist got a call yesterday to say that the clutch was not fitting properly when you push the clutch pedal all the way down the travel arm "the part in the clutch witch makes the clutch engage disengage" is rubbing on the clutch casing as the arm has to travel further with the SMFW being slimmer so my cheep fix is turning out to be very expensive I called tecniclutch and they said send it back and theye would have a look at it and send a replacement out and see if I could claim for labour etc Now as the costs are spiralling I'm afraid to do that as i have tried to claim against companies like this before and had no luck so I now have the garage trying to grind a little off the travel arm or fit a slightly larger stopper for the clutch pedal so it stops before the travel arm hits the clutch casing all in all I'm a bit devastated with it all as iv sold the octavia taken payment and I promised to sort clutch out for my mate who is buying it i bought a mk1 tt and this clutch is swallowing all my modding money for the tt so buyers beware my experience with the tecniclutch SMFW is not a happy one All the best Peter
  5. Thought as much now I'm off to cry in my coffee :( :(
  6. Hi all was out in my mk1 vrs octavia the day I was in 3rd and put my foot down got to 3000revs then the engine kept on reving but no change in speed it almost feels like the wheels are spinning but they don't is this my clutch??? I can drive the car fine going slow through the rev range When it revs up and you take your foot off the gas you can almost feel the engine re engage that's why at first I though it was the wheels spinning then finding grip again any help appreciated Peter
  7. looking good mate my next purchase me thinks
  8. always thought black wheels look better on a red vrs not a huge fan on a silver car
  9. says rotor discs on the ones im looking at but same thing
  10. Hello ppl time has come for some new brake discs and pads. Iv been looking at a few and love the look of the new rotor discs. but wondered if anyone had a set on an octy and would put a few picks up. or any others that fancy posting a pick of there discs its going to be for road driving and more just to set off the standard wheels rather than track day stopping power any wise words will be appreciated :D
