My 2011 Octavia 1.6Mpi is due it's 2nd year service which I think is the Skoda dealer £249 one? So I have a few questions before I book her in. 1. I assume the dealer is the best place to take it to? but.. can an independent offer me a better deal and would I keep the full skoda history? 2. I think my brake pads are wearing, I get a grating feeling from the pedal and noise when braking at low speeds. Is it best to purchase the pads and have a local garage fit them before I take it for a service? I think skoda fixed price is £69 rear & £99 front. Car is on around 19,000 miles and had no problems so far. Thanks for assistance.

Whats the best way to atatch a new grille badge? just had my grille colour coded and at the moment is without a badge. New badge is arriving in post and I assume it will have 2x plastic pegs that match the 2x holes in the chrome (now white)surround. Does the new badge have some sort of 3M sticky stuff too? and how would one melt the 2x plastic pegs if thats the way forward?

Personal preference I suppose, I like the roof apart from the BT logo all over it. Dont like black wheels on ANY car, might as well put steelies on IMO , although I quite like anthracite allys. Along with the black roof I am probably going to go with a diffuser for the spoiler from superskoda but it will be this one http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/OCTAVIA-II/Octavia-II-RS-04-12-rear-spoiler-add-on-diffusor-RS-CONCEPT-V2-from-ABS-plastic and it too will be gloss black. Like the rear bumper diffuser but I think all those carbon look bits would be nicer in a gloss black (again IMO). Absolutely LOVE the interior.

I'm thinking of having my roof painted Gloss black. Car is MY2011 Octavia in Candy White. Would it be best to paint or have it wrapped? and what sort of cost would I be looking at for both options?

Does anyone have the measurements for drilling holes in the FL boot lid to accept the VRS spoiler please? I assume you can see the bolt/screw heads when you open the boot? can any VRS owners confirm this?

I just fitted a columbus to replace my bolero in FL octavia with AC and would like part number for the appropriate trim in silver too. The bolero trim leaves a big gap around the columbus.
