Hi i have a 2006 early mk2 petrol vrs.- ie no jumbo box. I had the suspension changed and had a rather nice ST kit fitted. This has lowered the car slightly. For the last couple of services the garage has told me that the rear bump stops are on the way out. What bump stops will i need and where can i get them from and any ideas of part numbers thanks.

Hi whats the paint code off my car. The sticker in the car is faded but there is a load of numbers in the build part of the service book

Been through every bit on there, the bit on removing the trim just comes up as a blank chapter can anyone do a screen shot of it please

I'm trying to change the wing mirror. On that workshop guide all the side chapters are empty so i dont know if the link is not working properly

Thanks but thats no help as it does not say how to remove anything. It just seems to list the components. Or am i missing something

Is there a decent guide on removing the door card. Ive taken the 2 screws out from the bottom of the door. Whats next as ive seen one guide saying there is a screw where the small speaker is but no clue how to access it. Another guide says you need to take a panel out of the area near the window switches. Again no idea how to. Any clues or assistance. Thanks

So from the lack of replies i take it i'm the first person to have smashed a wing mirror. Thats some achievement for an old model. Even searching youtube has not brought anything worthwhile up. Will have to see if i can find a skoda specialist now who's not going to charge a fortune.

The entire bit as it was totally smashed

Has anyone got the part number for the mirror. Mine was totally smashed yesterday so i need the entire unit. There does not look like there is any other damage, i just have a smashed up stump left. Also are they very hard to replace. Ive seen some on ebay which are primed is the mirror cover replaceable or is it best to get it painted

Hi Someone kindly cracked my rear off side light cluster the other day on my 2006 OctaviaVRS. I was looking on ebay for a replacement. Most say they dont fit a vrs. Is there a different light cluster on the vrs as they dont appear to be any different Thanks

At the moment my 2006 vrs sounds like i'm dragging half a dozen tin cans behind me. I one backing plate backing plate half hanging off and the other is catching up fast. Does anyone have the part number for the plates or where the best place is too buy them thanks Dave

Hi I have a small patch of rust coming on the offside rear wheel arch. At present it looks fairly surface and is no more than 1-2 cm in size. Whats the best way to sort this. Thanks

I was thinking of the 1.4 as i like the mk3 shape and i cant afford a mk3 vrs. I really should have something more economic than my current car but then other times i think sod it i want something nice to sit in with a bit of go! I might even end up looking at a late mk2 vrs as i have really enjoyed my vrs.

Hi I have a leggy mk2 petrol vrs which has done 140k. I'm thinking of swapping to a mk3 1.4 would i be feeling disappointed performance wise. The official figures dont look to bad i dont want a diesel as i frequent London and Nottingham which are both not very diesel friendly. I fancy an auto for a change would that really sap the performance as well. Thanks

Hi I have upgraded the suspension on my vrs with a after market kit which has lowered the car by a cm or so. The insurance is due for renewal next month, Does anyone have a recommendations in regards to brokers for modified insurance. Thanks

Hi My old and mostly reliable vrs was in for a service last week. I was told that the car needs new rear bump stops. Where do i get replacements from? Has anyone got the part numbers and the name of a good suppler I did see a guide somewhere but couldn't find it the other day. Are they difficult to replace? Thanks

Hi The heat shield around the exhaust on my petrol vrs has started rattling. It appears that there are claps which attach it to the petrol tank. Can these be replaced as the clips dont appear to be holding it tight. Thanks
