ok thanks ive got a mondeo 2.0 but used to have a 56 superb elegance which was a good car till the oil pump went and destroyed the engine didnt no if they still have same problem may i ask how many miles u done

well ive seen 2 superbs i like both 13 plate one is a 1.6 the other is 2.0 is the 1.6 man enough for it to be a taxi and are there any issues with any of the engines thanks pete

dont understand mate need to get the battery in doors to charge it

hi stupid i no but just went to get the battery of me superb coz its flat and thought ill charge it ive taken every thing of + - cables and the bolt at the bottom anything else as it seem it dont want to come out its not stuck as such just dont seem to be enough room to get it out told u it sounds stupid

ok like wot mate me temp seems to read 50 all the time i dont seam to have much heat i put it on 80 and it is not very hot the engine does not seem very hot either i was told it sound like the thermostat something to do with open or being closed but hey i open to suggestions mate

hi got a superb2.0 elegance 56 plate i need to change the thermostat do i have to drain the coolant or is it as easy as undo the 2 bolts put it in and tighten it up !!

hi mate i had a flashing glowplug light and i took it to skoda what it was there is some kind of fluid which is put in the rear of your car under were the spare wheel iskept its something to do with the cat i think but only skoda can do it so they say i was told the vessel holds about 4 ltr and it just wanted topping up it took 2 ltrs but hey its cost about £30 ltr mate hope this helps mate

ok here goes i seem to have to codes come upthe first is 04fa which im told means recirculation flap servo motor and the second is 053d which im told is kombi well these mean nothing to me can anyone tell me what they mean and how to fix them many thanks i have a superb elegance 2.0 :yes: 56 plate

guy help got a superb elegance2.0 right here goes basically the faster you gothe hotter me engine gets the guy at the garage done a sniff test and went straight to yellow im lead to beleave that this mean a head gasket failure so ive had the head skimmed and a new gasket done o and cam belt and water pump while they were at it picked it up today and went for a run and still the same took it back and they done another sniff test and it went blue then green now they going to take it apart and have another look at the gasket in the morning guys any ideas i getting bloody worried help :(

if the the headgasket has gone would my engine temp go through the roof that wot a garage has told me the have tested it and they said some thing about yellow gas does this make sence to anyone they have quote approx £700 to 1000 is this a fair price i have a superb elegance 2.0td thanksi think he said he done a sniff test ?

hi write here goes got a superb elegance 56 plate me engine temp normaly runs at 90 now i no it hot out there but for some reason it now keeps going into the RED the alarm comes up and says check coolant pop the bonnet and coolant is ok the fan is running ok all the belts are ok before i take it to skoda is there anything else i can check the only other problem i have is with climatronic the alarm on it say i need a recirculation motor that wouldent have anything to do with it would it thanks peter

hi all right done some research and now found i have a fault which is 04fa fault which is recirculation flap servo motor which skoda are going to give me a price to supply and fit has anyone fitted one of these and r they easy to do thanks guys
