I have 1 x Westlake SV308 tyre 225 40 R18, never heard of them tbh, it has just been fitted as an insurance replacement, but I have two new matching tyres waiting to go on. It's virtually brand new having only covered 20 miles. Looking for a very reasonable £50 posted to mainland UK only.

Before lowering it, my vRS looked like a Scout, even lowered -30mm I can still get my hosepipe under the arch...... :p Although not at the moment, as it's sitting in a body shop having a new wing, headlight and bumper fitted after I I let swmbo drive it in the snow last week!!!

17" are the perfect size imo, maybe not for looks, but for handling etc..... I have 18's on the vRS but 17's on swmbo's Golf GT, the ride is far superior. If you are that bothered, you can pick up a decent set of 18" wheels on here, the Golf GTi forum or ebay easy enough and for reasonable money, I paid £600 for a fully refurbished set of BBS CH rep's with nearly new tyres from a member. Peronally, I would get a set of 18's and put winter tyres on the 17's.

This takes me back to when I had my Peugeot 309 Mi 16v sprayed pearl white with blue flip, I can image yours will look amazing in the metal. I would recommend taking it to a garage a night, the artificial lights will make the the colour look incredible.

I have a set of 18" Zeniths sitting in my garage, I have started the refurb process, but got bored so they need finishing, what sort of money would they be worth without tyres?

No sound or picture, single red dot where it should be green. Sent for repair to Tesco Tech Support (big mistake) returned unrepaired after nearly 3 weeks even though they offer a 5 day turn around service!! Then sent to MS only to find the bloody thing is still under warranty, obviously not any more since the monkeys at Tesco opened it and voided the warrany!!! £40 posted by the way, just need to cover some of the costs of the new one I've had to buy my kids this week!!!

Iirc I couldn't move the piston on my rev D before I fitted it?
