  1. As I have mentioned previously I get bi-weekly updates from the dealer, one last Saturday, no update, and then one on Wednesday, bizarrely to say no update
  2. Mmmmm, i'm more inclined to think certain parts/materials 🤔
  3. Strange how I ordered my 2.0TSI VRS DSG end of November 2022 and it's due to be built in a couple of weeks, of course, I am assuming the dealer has not typed 5 in error and missed off the 2! 🙃
  4. I would have cancelled long ago if it were me, I certainly wouldn't wait 12 months + for a car, 6 - 8 months tops, and certainly not for a hybrid.........
  5. I think 99% of potential iV orders are for company use so everything done through fleet and lease companies, no personal service at all and so they are not that bothered about chasing orders up I would say!
  6. Personally I don't think it's a case of vehicle options causing delays, I think it's the iV vehicle itself, if options are proving problematic Skoda just pull them so make unavailable. Equally, you cannot currently order an Octavia Vrs iV so that kind of spells it out for me.
  7. I challenged dealer when he gave me first update before Xmas and he said yes, all accurate and says we just got lucky, but let's see 👀
  8. Yeah makes a change I guess, so far they have been good, test drive was a bit of a game, car not ready no fuel in etc. But handed over the keys, signed an insurance doc and iff I went. Do much better going on your own without one if them sitting next to you, Can have a proper play then including pullingniver and getting to know infotainment system 😉
  9. 2.0 TSI, electric seats, rear view cam, wireless charging, needed to keep below £40k list to stop going into lux car for VED!
  10. Just had an update from the dealer yesterday, he updates me every two weeks, originally week 7 build now week 5, ordered end of November 2022. I certainly was not expecting such a speedy turnaround 🙂
  11. Is it an elastictrickery hybrid that you have on order?
  12. My own personal opinion and also by looking at the majority of orders on delay in this thread I would say parts for Hybrid, you cannot currently order an Octavia iV and this has been the case for some months I think.
  13. I'm going to ask this question again so apologies, Hybrid, Petrol or Diesel?
  14. Have you ordered a petrol, diesel or the hybrid?
  15. Who knows how long I will live, but IMHO there will be no full charging infrastructure in this country in my lifetime, period!
  16. Noted on your employer providing on-site charging facilities but what about charging at home and at weekends, that will be down to you, in the car you get two charging cables, one rapid and one which is standard 230v 3 pin (or 2 pin EU I guess) So when you are not at work what will you do, drive to a charging point and sit in the car for 4 hours, then you only get 30 miles? Ultimately EV or Hybrid makes absolutely no sense to me unless tootling around local town, school run, local shopping etc. Any commuting mileage is just nonsense in my book.
  17. So here's the thing, firstly there is no charging infrastructure in the UK, it's in it's infancy and in my lifetime will not exponentially increase, secondly, range anxiety, full EV, unless you own a Tesla or Polestar, is not going to provide as much as a modern petrol or diesel. Thirdly, mild Hybrid are just useless, 30 miles on full EV if you are lucky, that is by switching everything off, radio, climate or any heating elements, heated seats for example. I know this for a fact, as I have already said, we have a Cupra Formentor in the family which is the same platform as the Vrs iV and that will average 28 - 30 miles after 6 - 8 hours charging. Yes you can rapid charge but you have to invest in the wall mount home charger which is several hundred pounds. I notice a lot of potential Vrs iV owners are will be using for company car, how many employers are going to put a home EV charger down to expenses?
  18. Seems to be these hybrid things, personally I wouldn't touch them. My wife has a Cupra Formentor hybrid, same unit, she has had it for a year plugged in twice, or maybe three times, once at Tesco. One hour shopping got 9 miles on EV, got us home, that was it. When she first got it, Jan 22 I fully charged it took 6 hours on a Sunday. Monday was a freezing day, took daughter to school, had 29 miles on EV charge, school is less than 3 miles away, managed to fleece more than 10 miles of EV charge, since then only charged once more. At todays elastictrickey charges I'm not plugging that thing in anymore, did so a couple of weeks ago, 15 mins and smart meter racked up £2.50, sorry these PHEV Hybrids are not for me.
  19. Just checked this week with my dealer, one of my options was rear view camera, indeed that option was pulled, luckily my order went through and was confirmed 4 days prior to that happening. So confirmed my car coming through with that option.
  20. It does look as though a lot of the reasons are to do with parts availability on certain drive trains and options, looking at this thread most seem to be the Hybrid variants........
  21. Just looked at the configurator and DCC option still comes up, in between temp wheel sacer and boot net programme?
  22. Just been reading up on delivery wait times and it would seem that a lot was due to factory extended shutdown from December last year, parts issues. So could this have transposed into lengthy lead times pushing out all of last year into next year, just a thought? Also, quick question as I have been given a provisional build week from order which on the face of it is extremely good, so what typical build weeks were initially given from order?
  23. I must be blessed, even the dealer said I was lucky!
  24. If you say so buddy, we shall see, I'm in no hurry.....Shall I ask the dealer if they are lying?
