Mailed Dension Pre Sales support and they confirm that the Audience MP3 HU is not compatible. Seems you definetely need a CD changer port on the HU to run these interfaces. Even if that's odd, because if you command the interface/ipod over the CAN bus, I would guess that a line in should be sufficient. But seeing what Dension say I believe that the interface just emulates a CD changer (like the old non CAN versions) and the Can bus is used only to command the HU / "CD changer" combination :(

That's if you're parking in a dark road you can leave just 2 lights on - those on the inner side of the road - instead of all four, saving the battery. This is an old VAG feature ... BTW: there are some goodies here, but most of the stuff is in the manual. RTFM :-)

Yes, that's an option, but here in Italy legislations want's you to turn the whole christmas tree on (full head lights, rear lights and numberplate :confused: - I wonder what this is good for during the day). Someone here modified VAGcom settings so that the fog lights turn on automatically, but was told off by police at the first occasion. I think I can cheat around that legal stuff using LEDs like the Audis have.

Hi, did anyone fit LED DRLs into his/her Octavia Scout? I'm thinking of a led chain fitted into the original headlights or applying Angel Eyes around the HL projectors. I don't want to substitute the fog lights, nor cut holes into the bumbers.

Yes, that's what Dension say, too. The issue with the Audience MP3 HU is, that it hasn't a cd changer port, so the normal Gateways don't work. What we need is one that connects to the car's data bus (like the Dension 300s). I guess Dension call their products gateways, because they permit to interchange data between the HU and the ipod.

The Dension gateways don't work with the Audience MP3 HU. I've got a 2008 Scout and asked Dension directly. They told me that they are developing and a GW will be ready in Q1 2009. I suppose it'll be a 300 attached to the car's data bus.
