  1. Thanks for the reply good to know someone else has experienced both first hand, i think ill go for f&r arb and console bushes for now and see how that goes.
  2. Cheers guys, I think i`ll have to get underneath both and have a good poke arounnd.
  3. Hi all ive had my fabia vrs a couple of days now and the main reason i bought one is because i was really impressed with my missus ibiza (1.9tdi 130 sport) and thought i was buying the same motor but in a different/better dress. Every things seems pretty much the same the only thing im disapointed about is the fact it handles (in my opinion) no where near as good,, now i know i could put coilovers on uprated console bushes front and rear arb and so on! But can anyone tell me what the differences between the two are as i like the ibiza`s handling not too harsh but the vrs is the car to have for me. Tried various searches to get any info already available on here to no avail Any help is appreachiated Cheers Adam
  4. HI all just picked up a silver fabia vrs `53` with 40k on it from main dealers and have to say drives great really impressed with it. Had a Octy vrs `01` previously which was great but for the past 6mths had a Bugeye Wrx but once the novilty had worn off got sick of feeding it and insurance costs. Anyway glad to be back and lookin forward to start modding cant beat the info on here, not much of a poster but using the endangered search button (some users never seen it lol) all my questions have been answered (in triplicate). Cheers Adam
  5. Just a follow up on this ive fitted powerflex bushes in my dogbone mount a bit harsh bit its deffinately cured the wheel hop so am going to stick with it to see if it softens up plus has help me find/sort all my rattles by amplifying them lol. Fitted superpro ARB bushes sorted the knocking out stopped the bar from moviing (word of advice when fitting replace the standard 8mm bolts with ones twice the length makes the job miles easier) Not fitted the Leon lower strut as i knackered one of the rivits when trying to fit will have to take another trip to SEAT anyway thanks for all the help guys.
  6. Yep mines a 2001 with the plastic inserts (now in the bin lol) already replaced the bushes once, got them from euro car parts went ok for about a week then moved and started knocking. Went to skoda and got some new brackets as they said they were revised slightly different shape but when i asked why it was revised thy didd`nt know ill get some superpro bushes then when i get round to doing it again made some headway tonight cheers mate!
  7. Ok last one lol knocking arb what bar u runnin?
  8. Ok thanks m8 youve made my mind up heading over to ebay for a polyflex one plus £18 is better than the £74 i was going to pay for a r32 one:thumbup: Also heading to seat tomorrow for a cupra r lower strut brace £13 same as the s3 one any experience with one of these?
  9. Thanks:thumbup: did it make any difference to hard exceleration from stand still mines remapped and seems to skip can`t get the power down
  10. Hi can anyone confirm if the r32 dogbone mount will fit the octy vrs as i dont want to poly bush my existing mount as ive heard it is a bit harsh Sorry if this may have been covered before found some info on ukmkiv but tried a search here and found nothing. Thanks:)
  11. ok sorry i took it the wrong way like i said im new to posting spend most my time reading posts.
  12. you can pick my post apart as much as u like but like i said not posted before but to say hi only put estimated figures up for people who want to be picky all i know is that my mates octy is mapped by revo and he prefers the way mine delivers the power. Figures dont matter to me as long as i am happy with my car. Check reviews on ukmkivs or other vag sites
  13. Hi not posted on here before other than to say hi (hope im doing it in the right section) Had my Mk1 Octy Vrs remapped by More-Bhp and thought id share my experience Found on Ebay so was a bit dubious read nothing but good reviews on various forums so at £195 thought id give it a try. Phoned up spoke to Jason after a lengthy discussion it was clear that he knew what he was doing so set off to middlewich same day. On the way got a engine management light on dash phoned Jason who said dont worry about it he would deal with it when i got there. Arrived at his unit then we went for a drive he found that it was my maf to be a fault so I nipped out to get a new one came back & fitted it. I explained that i wanted a map that was progressive across the rev range. He mapped it and we went out for a spin what a difference as many say felt like a different car spooled up at about 1500rpm right through the rev range with no flat spots estimation without going on rolling road 215-220bhp. spent about best part of 3hrs there asking various questions on other mods and common faults all of which he was happy to answer. Glad i decided to use someone who works for himself rather than a franchise more personal touch and at half the price. Anyway the reason i posted is if like me u want to mod but hav`nt got much money to do so then give him a try.
