  2. Hi, After not posting on Briskoda for about 12 years after selling my Fabia Vrs, I am looking to possibly return. I have seen a Yeti for sale, however on the last two MOT it has shown up 2022 Monitor and repair if necessary (advisories): Central Rear subframe rusting 2021 Rear Sub-frame corroded but not seriously weakened (5.3.3 (b) (i)) It looks like the current owner has attempted to address this as per the attached before and after images. Apparently it has been lanoguarded annually and treated with a course of NATO standard Neutrarust and painted with Buzzweld Chasis paint. Is this rust or the standard of the work carried something to be overly worried about?. Thanks
  3. Driving to work today, the glow warning light kept on flashing , upon checking the forums it appears as if my brake switch has lost the will to work (NO brake lights at, all apart from that the car seems fine). I checked the bulbs but their all ok, I have the vag code for the parts needed however, no idea where it needs to be replaced, and if there is a specific process for installing the switch. A How to guide or advice would be really appreciated. Cheers
  4. Im in the Rhondda, but my car is usually dirty so I wont be posting a pic! Anybody have VAG com in South Wales as I need to look at a fault? cheers
  5. HI I keep hearing about the VNT in topics regarding turbo problems and the EGR, can anyone confirm exactly what it is, its location etc and how easy it is to clean? Cheers
  6. Nope Rs6 alloys on mine! Theres quite a few VRS's in the Rhondda now!
  7. Excellent thanks for the heads up, does anybody know the part numbers for the seals though?. Cheers
  8. How would that work, how would I go about doing it? Would it affect the engine?
  9. Im looking to clean my EGR Valve however I read that the seals should be replaced after cleaning, does anybody know the part number so that I can order some. Also is it an easy job? Cheers
  10. Hi Chaps Im back for more advice, I recently replaced the turbo unit and hose(s) on my vrs. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/174191-replaced-turbo/ I was driving today and at around 70mph the car went into limp mode and the warning light on the dash came up which relates to the exhaust system. Any ideas what this could be, would it be related to the previous amount of black smoke which was coming out while there was a whole in the hoses. Could it be that the EGR or MAF need to be replaced cleaned etc. If so are these easy DIY jobs or will it need to be a garage. Should I take it to a garage to get in on a computer?. Cheers
  11. To be honest im not sure, I work long hours so it was solved for me by a family member. I just need to decide after spending all the money whether I keep it or sell on. Any advice?
  12. Chaps Thanks for your help on this matter, you were indeed correct the hoses cost me around 104quid including VAT, had the car back today after being without it for a month on and off, such a great feeling to have boost back! Cheers
