  1. I am quite interested in this for my wife's Fabia, thanks for bringing it to my attention.
  2. I am awaiting on a call back from Dennis to find out if my car has arrived. Whoever is the first to pick theirs up could you confirm if you did get the free Amundsen upgrade from the March offer. Cheers.
  3. Hopefully one of those that arrived from Grimsby was mine, I will give Dennis a call later on today to find out.
  4. I ordered an Octavia VRS Estate on lease from Simpsons on March the 23rd. I emailed today to find that Bob is on Holiday until next week. I phoned the number on the email and spoke to a helpful chap called Dennis. Dennis confirmed that my car is at Grimsby but couldn't give a definite date as to when it will be ready to pick it up, he did however give me the registration but it will be of little use at the moment in regards, to insurance as it will not be on any system as yet. This has probably not been of much use in regards to your car but I not expecting to pick mine up for a couple of weeks.
  5. Did you order from the Simpsons lease deal? If so I am in the same boat as yourself, wish the car was on the boat mind you.
  6. I would of definitely gone for a petrol Vrs if one was available on this deal, however I am not sure I could of convinced my wife after I had used the fact that we were getting a diesel and it should save us some money.
  7. Unfortunately sunset glass isn't standard on the VRS Estate, I have added it as the one and only optional extra to the lease I have signed up for from Simpson's Skoda.
  8. That sounds like a good deal and if I had the option for the third year I would probably of taken it . I am coming back to Skoda after a 7 year hiatus and am looking forward to it after 4 different cars in the meantime, I am sure you won't regret it. You look like a man after my own heart with a GSD as you Avatar.
  9. Looks very nice. The Dealer sending pictures of your car is akin to a dog breeder sending you pictures of your new puppy. Both are very exciting to receive.
  10. Yeah I thought as much, we have managed without a spare wheel for the past 5 years so think I will risk it. What I can't live without though is the sunset glass so I have made enquiries and may be able to add it for £8 a month extra. At least I will be able to sit in the back of the car unnoticed waiting for the AA when the tyre repair kit doesn't work.
  11. I wonder if you get the spare wheel and pay for it throughout the period of the lease then would you technically own it and be able to sell it on when the car goes back?
  12. I probably would of gone for the sunset glass if I knew that. If you order the car could you ask them about the stereo upgrade? Mine was ordered last week so I am hoping it has the Sat Nav upgrade.
  13. I've gone for the deal Andy, signed up last Sunday for an Estate in racing Blue. I didn't add any optional extra because I was unaware that it was possible. The only extra I would of added was the sunset glass.
  14. After reading this thread I decided to look at the ST3 TDCI on-line to see what price you could potentially get it for. The best price is £19405 from autoebid a saving of over £8000 on the list price, this doesn't seem possible for a car that has only just been released. If I hadn't committed to the two year lease deal for the VRS TDI from Simpsons then I would seriously consider the ST3 if indeed I could get it for the price listed.
  15. Are you getting a new one for 19k , if so that is a cracking deal.
  16. That is a great price for 16000 miles a year. It certainly will be great if the Amundsen is fitted also.
  17. Cheers mr1, that's good to hear. I have emailed the dealer to enquire.
  18. On what day did you order? I ordered the lease deal from Simpsons Skoda on Sunday and would imagine that the earliest the order went through would be Monday. It would be a nice bonus to get the Amundsen.
  19. I use my PS3 to stream all of my music collection from the Hard drive of my PC, I also use it to stream TV programs from my PC that have been downloaded off the internet, some of the High Def TV programs that you can get now are better quality than normal broadcast terrestrial TV. In my opinion the PS3 is a great media device first and a games console second. Carlos.
  20. Hi Adam, Yes I am from Derby, Chellaston to be precise. As you may make out from my user name I have the same Football allegiance as you. Regards, Carlos.
  21. Hi Dave, I'm a fellow Derby lad with an Octy Vrs. I am sure that when you notice your improved mpg and cheaper insurance you will not miss your Scooby that much. Regards, Carlos.
  22. I have played PGR4 nearly none stop since Friday, and I have to say it is a return to form. PGR2 was one of the best games that I have ever played but I was really disappointed with PGR3. Anybody who likes racing games and is in 2 minds I would advise you to buy it. It is easily the best racing game on the Xbox 360 and IMO a lot better than Forza 2.
  23. I am really happy for anybody that still has a launch console, I would love to know the actual failure rate, I am sure it is over the supposed 3% that Microsoft quote. Mine have never seen the inside of a TV cabinet it is sat horizontally on an open Ikea shelving unit with at least 6inches either side and 12 inches above it, in fact I made little blocks that it sits on so it has about an inch clearance underneath. I know if you look at any thread on the Internet there is always a 3 red rings of death thread near the top, obviously like myself people tend to talk about things when something goes wrong. I am basing my opinion on my experience and that of some of my close friends.
  24. I can believe these figures as I am now on my third Xbox 360. The launch day console lasted 9 months before it went away for repair, they sent a different console back as a replacement and that failed about a fortnight ago. I decided to buy a new console instead as sending it away for repair and paying
