When you used the DRL`s did the front and rear lights come on or only the front?

The last sentence on that letter is like they are shouting at you!!!

They dont look clear to me the letters are to small look at the other signs compared to the new signs they put up.

Regarding the Auto lights, i have a 2009 1.9PD TDi Superb S, when i use the Auto lights the front and rear lights come on during the day i thought just the front lights would only come on then if it gets dark or go through a tunnel then the rear lights would also come on but front and rear seem to be constantly on. I was thinking of changing my 1.9PD Superb to a 1.6CR Superb next year to try and save money on fuel but after reading peoples replys on this thread im having my doubts. :S

Called Skoda UK today the 1.6CR will be on www.skoda.uk by the end of the week.

Took the car back to Henrys was in for a few hours they told me they checked all the bulbs in the car and they found 2 faulty bulbs, they were both fluctuating in wattage so they replaced them both and charged me £14 On Sunday the bulb warning light came on again checked all the bulbs all were found to be working. Today i called Skoda UK and said to them Henrys replaced 2 bulbs and charged me £14 but the light is still coming on and asked the girl should this not be under warranty? She didnt know and told me to contact my dealer again. it sounds like a software problem more than anything, either a bulb works or it doesn't.

Car booked in for next week to try and resolve problem again. Ive checked all the bulbs ive replaced and they all appear to be ok .

For some time now the bulb failure light has been coming on and off. If i switch the engine off and remove the key it will sometimes reset the warning light but sometimes it wont. Its been to the dealer for a software update, that worked for a while. I've checked the bulbs ive replaced and there all secure so no loose connections. Went back to the they said its not showing a fault on their machine. Anyone any ideas? :S

Im due to change my front tyres shortly on my 1.9td S Can someone explain why Skoda fit Extra Load Tyres to the superb2 and why are they V rated. Ive done around 17,000miles and the car is used as a taxi and so far (touch wood) i havnt had a puncture yet and the state of the roads in Glasgow must be some of the worst, is this because of the tyres or is it just luck!

The reason for the 10,000 servicing is, both cars are used as taxis and since the majority of the work is done in the city with a lot of stop start and engine idiling. The engine will also use more oil.

Is that 5w30 or 5w40?

Are both your cars set by the dealer for Variable Servicing (typically 18,000-20,000 mile intervals as indicated by the MFD), as if not, I believe you can use a cheaper semi-synthetic oil where servicing/oil changes are necessary at fixed 10,000 mile intervals. Both are serviced at 10,000 mile intervals

What kind of oil should i be using to top up my 1.9Tdi S Superb mkII and 1.9Tdi Octavia A4 I have been told by diffrent people i should only use Fully synthetic and others say its safe to use semi synthetic, does it have to have the VW code on the oil. Both cars are serviced by a Skoda dealer at 10,000 intervals and both used as taxis.

When i had cruise control fitted in my superb my dealer was sent the instructions for a left hand drive car there seems to be a problem with ordering parts for right hand drive cars, whether its the dealer or Skoda UK i dont know?

Conclusion of Cruise control While my car was in Henrys they have severely scratched my windscreen and never said to me. I went back to them and told me maybe someone was grinding or welding next to my car, im now getting a new windscreen.

I dont have to pay £55+vat

After my car being in Henrys for another 2 days i have finally got it back and with the cruise working. I was given no explanation why it took 7 days to fit the cruise instead of 2 hours or an apology. I called Skoda Uk and they said Henrys was sent instructions for a left hand drive car, to me thats not a reason why it took 1 week to fit it and they said i did not have to pay the £55+vat that Henrys wanted.

I changed my front tyres on my Octavia at 20k and it gets used as a taxi. That was with pirelli P6000.

Yeah stalk is fitted they dont know if its the software or wiring. :confused: I havnt paid them yet and their not getting a penny until its working. They are still waiting to hear from Skoda UK for an answer to resolve the problem they got until Wednesday.

Called Skoda UK on Friday morning and told them about Henrys wanting to charge me an extra £55+vat and the problems fitting cruise. After a few hours they called me back and said i dont have to pay the £55+vat and the car will be ready for 5pm as Henrys will give priority to my car. At 3pm i called Henrys to confirm the car will be ready for 5pm as i was working that night, they said it would be and the technician was working on my car and another at the same time. (so much for the priority) Arrived at 5pm and the service manager said to me "bad news cruise not working" After 2 full days and loosing 1 nights work i still dont have cruise control which should normally take 2 hours.

Cruise control update Arrived at Henrys at 10:30 this morning and handed keys to service department. They said they will call around lunchtime to let me know how they were doing. At 2:15pm i never heard anything so i called they told me, they were having problems how to connect an extra wire from one part to somewhere else via the ECU and bulkhead and there would be an additional cost of £55+vat as it was taking longer than they thought and they were waiting on Skoda UK to call them back to resolve the problem. They will TRY to have the car finished for late tomorrow afternoon. I said i have missed 1 night shift of work and walked about Glasgow for more than 4 hours waiting on them to call me back. I was given no apology and it was the first time they tried to fit cruise to a mk2 Superb.
