Had lunch with Michael Caine once - well, all right, at a table a few yards away; at the Beetle and Wedge (once a lovely scruffy place with a wood cabinet juke box full of 50s' and 60s' singles. All tarted up now more's the pity)

Just ask them to place a bet with you (of money which you will look after) that can provide irrefutable evidence under reasonable experimental conditions for the basis of their beliefs. -

We've got a cordless Bosch on it's second season and it's perfect for our garden - SWMBO keeps making small flower beds which are a nightmare to drag a cable around, and don't leave enough space for a petrol mower. Older models with lead acid batteries may have been crap, but so far the lithium battery in ours seems to be holding out OK with no loss of charge. Pricey to buy, but worth it if your garden is all bits and pieces. Also got an old Qualcast push mower for when I want to give it a quick trim.

Also findig IE8 faster than IE7, and working better. Had a few problems initially, but it seems to have bedded in. Quite like the accelerators.

Apologies if has already been posted, and for not being serious. So few laughs in the Bible / Koran etc (Korble? Bibran?). Maybe they'll put in a few jokes in the next rewrite.

Found this interesting. Huge differences between manuafacturers and for different models. Costwise it's maybe OK to go for a deisel if you buy carefully and keep the car for a good few years, though maybe not a Fiat Panda for 32 of them. I do like the relaxed motorway drive on the higher geared diesels.

There's Drunken Bottom near us which only shows on the OS maps. Just a field though, which is a shame. http://www.multimap.com/s/wizbqpXk

Another thank you. Saved me a journey and a morning at the dealer. Ten minute job. Thanks again

Except that the post code is RG30 2BD, not RG31 2BD. Pretty sure that was a Honda dealer last time I was out that way. Looks like they've taken the car dealership to where the bike dealership was/is south of Reading. Mod's Note: Post code corrected in Dealer's details in Reviews section. TY. DGW

Or whatever the collective noun for a group of Skoda owners might be (Skodarians? Skodaholics?) New Skoda owner: 06 plate Fabia 1.9 tdi Elegance estate from Grasmere in Newbury who made the acquisition painless. Next day, the wipers stopped working, but thanks to Briskoda, found fuse 15 and problem fixed. Great to drive after my '99 Ibiza, which I'd hung on to for 9 years and 60,000ml; mind, it never let me down once in all that time. Really hope the Fabia can do as well. Cheers all
